plane vs wing suit flyer?

I got a question from a pilot how to avoid WS fliers.
He is worrying to hit a WS flier when he dives down aggressively after the last man exited.
I told him it would not happen, but I could not explain why.

Any thoughts?

The forward speed of a wingsuit-flyer at exit is not so high in comparison to the aircraft.

Have your pilot wait at least a couple of seconds after you exit before descending and then have him remain on one side of jump run and you on the other ... your pilot should be more concerned with your safety than saving a couple of seconds.

After about 25 seconds flying a porter past me not more than 10 meters wing-distance.
I saw the pilots face and was sure he did it intentionally.
Later I asked him if he saw me in front of him.
His answer was "which colour is your parachute"?

SO it is possible to get a piece of plane in your mouth.

Yes, something similar has happened to me. And it doesn't matter whether or not the pilot dives on exit, there are a million other variables involved that could put you on a collision path between exit and landing.

Not sure why this answer is so hard to come by, but it's simple. EVERY PERSON IN THE AIR SHOULD HAVE A PATTERN. That includes the aircraft pilot. If you know where his pattern is and he knows where yours is (and they are on different sides of the airport), you cannot collide.

Depends if they wing it over. I have gotten very close to the otter on several occasions.Most of the time its planned....
Note: I rotated the pic to represent the true angle. I was like three feet away from the plane at one point.This is more than a few seconds after exit.

Here's one pilot's solution... watch em.

Justin Shorb's dad was riding right seat, so Van (the pilot) flew over the flock so he could get a nice view of it. Course I was just following the flock from the ground and was pretty amazed when the otter flew through the frame.
