kallend 2,027 #26 February 2, 2010 Quote Next week we will start implementing Kallends method into the software, so its quick and easy to play with. And we want to include a few more features, and will than slowly start working towards a first (pubicly available, free) version.. Are you going to allow a uniform stretch or compression?... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one.
mccordia 74 #27 February 2, 2010 We'll ask tom to make it a setting we can alter from zero to a hundred, so its fiddle-able for testing and playing.. Once thats in place, we'll start looking at a more wide testgroup, and than hopefully quick there-after a version we can offer to everyone for public testing and playing with mutiple judging and briefing methods...JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete? DSE 5 #28 February 3, 2010 Quote If flying a docked formation involves downsizing wings, where does it stop? I have flown in a docked formation of over 200, WITH NO WINGS AT ALL. One can't ignore the validity and cool factor of a docked formation, IMO. However, since formations of planes seem to be one of the cited benchmarks, it's unlikely we'll ever see a formation consisting of 172's, Otters, DC3's, and CRJ700's's, either. I question that they could all fly efficiently together.
