The111 1 #1 February 16, 2010 Click -> Flocking & Docking, PR style Nice flying by everyone. It was nice to see something that had never been done before. I only hope the docking gets better at 6.0!www.WingsuitPhotos.com
mccordia 74 #2 February 16, 2010 Rocking at Docking! Awesome pictures! And great flying! Its awesome seeing formation flying not be about grids and bitching, but just friendly 'holding hands' and playing together! Cant wait to see where this road will lead us...but it shows we shouldnt pin ourselves down to standards just yet....as 'the standard' hasn't been set yet by a looong margin...Great stuff you guys (and girl)! And congrats to mike, for again, being the guy who brings it all together, and gets the cover shot!JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

Skwrl 56 #5 February 16, 2010 Depends on which dock you're referring to - there were a few, on some jumps that I was on, that would last quite a long time (20 seconds) while others were a lot more ephemeral (1 or 2 or 3 seconds). We all sort of agreed that we needed to distinguish between a "dock" and a "bitch slap that happened to get caught on film". The five way line dock was held for a good 6 or so seconds as a line, and then for a few more seconds as a sort of "U" shaped curve. The double foot dock was a lot shorter - about 3 seconds.Skwrl Productions - Wingsuit Photography Northeast Bird School - Chief Logistics Guy and Video Dork

SuperGirl 0 #8 February 16, 2010 Quote Agreed, very cool. How long were you able to keep flying it stable? we all got the hand docks working pretty well, so I will only refer to the foot docks. One foot dock... yea, we got it flying a looong time. 2 foot docks on the same person - in the pictures with Purple flying base, the docks were kept together for about a second if I recall correctly. On another flight with Scott Bland as base, I have my video showing at least 3 or 4 seconds of both me and Justin docked on his feet, although it was a bit wobbly and I was bending Scott's foot quite a bit. Note to all those attempting this in the near future: The faster forward you fly, the more stable the foot docks become. So keep those legs straight, as father Yuri often likes to preach us... I'll hopefully get to edit all that video soon and you guys can see all the docks from my perspective... still waiting to see if my hard drive turns up (someone grabbed the wrong "rums of PR" black/red bag from the packing area... with my stuff in it!!!! including a drive with all my footage of the first day. grr. luckily I backed up the rest of the footage elsewhere)

notsane 0 #11 February 16, 2010 Great pics, Matt! Let's not forget the consistent 4-way lines Paul Cain/Elana Cain/Spike/Jackie (aka "The Brits") were putting up. They were holding those for 60 seconds or more. I'll post a still when I get back home.
