LloydDobbler 2 #83 October 27, 2010 Quote Intermission is over. New rules are now in affect. If Lodi is NOT your home dz, or you have never flown a wingsuit there before, you MUST have a briefing from a local wingsuit pilot BEFORE you fly a wingsuit at Lodi. This means if there are no wingsuit pilots around to give you this briefing, you DO NOT fly a wingsuit until you receive this wingsuit briefing, PERIOD! After your navigation briefing, should your bad navigation or incompetence, lead you to an off dz landing, (meaning everyone not in a wingsuit or tracking lands on on the airport), you will be told to leave, and/or escorted off the drop zone. Please make no mistake at the seriousness of these rules. PLEASE get this word out. The local wingsuit pilots would like to keep flying our wingsuits at Lodi, so if you think your thinking about visiting Lodi to practice your tracking or wingsuit flying, you had better have your flight navigation skills dialed in 100%, period. Peace. First off, awesome! Second off, I assume it goes without saying that this applies when Bill changes the jump run and puts us out 2 miles S of the airport into a 35kt+ headwind, right? Glad you West Coast birds are back home. Signatures are the new black.

Bill does not "put you out", nor does anyone make you jump. You make the choice to exit a plane. It's a wingsuit pilot, tracker or any jumper for that matter, to know winds aloft and where to exit. Should you not like the pilots spot, simply ride the plane back to the ground. Simple as that. www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com

davelepka 4 #87 October 28, 2010 QuotePilots at $24 jump ticket drop zones spot bad at times. It's still you choice to exit, or not.... True, but at those joints you can get a go-around if the spot is bad. I'd be 2.5 times less pissed off if I got a bad spot and had to ride the plane down if my ticket was only $10. The truth is, if landing off didn't get my booted off the DZ, and I wasn't on a back to back, I'd just get out anyway. I'm not about to land in some farmers field, or inaccesible place, I'll just set it down by the side of the road, daisy-chain my lines and start walking. No need to for me, or anyone coming to get me, to trespass or destroy any crops or property, so it's a non-issue.

This issue is about wingsuits and trackers flying to a piont that they can not land back on the dz where everyone else on the load did. Do you fly a wingsuit? Or have you ever jumped at Lodi?www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com

BIRDDOCTOR 0 #90 October 28, 2010 Just for the record I did 10 WS jumps at Lodi the past 2 days and had no problem landing on. This was my first time jumping at Lodi as I am from Kentucky. It's amazing people have a hard time landing on when the landing area is big and the landmarks are very easy to find. Obviously awareness was an issue with past wingsuiters. It was nice to meet and fly with you Ed.Base# 1638
