No matter how bad things get under Trump, Joe 6-pack will find a way to blame it on Biden and the lefties. One of the key characteristics of both Trump and his supporters is never admit to making a mistake. Another is always find someone else to blame. Personal responsibility does not exist in MAGA moron world.

According to George F. WIll: Matt Gaetz, an arrested-development adolescent with the swagger of a sequined guitarist in a low-rent casino, will not be confirmed. His grotesqueness, however, makes three other nominees seem what they are not: acceptable. Considering only competence — leaving aside character blemishes — nothing in their resumes qualifies Pete Hegseth, Tulsi Gabbard or Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for the policy and administrative challenges of running the Defense Department, the intelligence community and the Department of Health and Human Services, respectively.

Yes! Attitudes towards AADs changed radically during the mid-1990s. I started rigging in 1984 when only FXC and Sentinel were available and they needed wide margins of error. I only saw one FXC miss-fire at 7,000 feet. All the rest of the "miss-fires" happened below 2,000 feet. What was any junior jumper doing in freefall below 2,000 feet?????? I started rigging for Square One in early 1994. A year later, Cypres was the norm on new-sold gear. Soon the sales girls were raiding the receiving dock to secure Cypri for their customers. A couple of years later, one of my rigging colleagues told a customer "Your new rig has arrived, except for the Cypres. How about if I assemble and pack it so you can jump it this weekend and I will install the Cypres when it arrives next week." The customer replied: "Never mind. I can jump rental gear for another week."

Thanks for sticking around. I don’t agree with your conclusions, but you add to the discussion and provide an alternative viewpoint.

I predict most will go silent again when Trump becomes president, and his presidency is not quite the nirvana they were promised.

That is just a semantics game. If you let an American based company own the deed, but then sell 95% of the shares in that company to Chinese investors, it is just a little disingenuous to claim the land is American owned. Like Made in China MAGA hats......

I say screw it. Dismantle the administrative state completely. Let the Red States sort out their own natural disasters with their own money, make their own education and health standards, their own work place safety standard and especially their own border control. Let Texas build their own wall at their own expense and then deal with it when US citizen immigrants from Louisiana, Mississippi, and New Mexico come across the border for basic needs and help because their state is too poor. If they want Christianity taught in school, let them do it. Let every state in America pay their exact fair share of our military expenses and what ever remains of our national government based on population. They want to send it back to the states? Fine by me.

The Republicans had a majority in both the House and the Senate, and, with inauguration of Trump on January 20, 2017, attained an overall federal government trifecta. Why didn't they do all that stuff back then?

Wait...so the man you're hoping to stop the "money printing party" and stick it to the banks, hedge funds, and VCs...is an actual VC?

That raises and interesting question: what is the actual number with no idea who voted Trump? Surely there are several categories, for example some anti-abortion types would take anything to end abortion forever. Then there are the Armageddon hopefuls and those who stand to gain but not be harmed and so on.

It’s probably kind of like states that start easing concealed carry. A friend of mine in Texas said that since getting his license he’d needed it a couple of times. I’d never felt like one would be useful. Maybe if you live in a vaccine-averse area, it’s easier to ascribe reactions to the vaccine; if you live in a vaccinated area, it’s easier to look for something else. Kind of like how that “DEI hire” makes unacceptable mistakes, but Bubba there is a goober sometimes, and you just gotta deal with it because everyone likes Bubba Wendy P.

Yes, you did, You said that two things can be true at the same time. They cannot be if they are opposites. Basic logic. It actually does mean that. Words mean things no matter what FOX News tells you.
  19. 1 point
Not if the two things are "no one said anything about the side effects" and "people were told about the side effects." Basic logic. Yes, I consider myself entitled to the truth. If you prefer ignorance, knock yourself out. Just don't expect me to join your club.

At this rate you'll soon catch up to Trump. 30,000+ documented lies, deceptions and falsehoods in a 4 year period.

There was ALWAYS talk of safety concerns. From the FDA, and from day one, they warned of risks including "severe allergic reaction" "Fainting" "Unusual and persistent irritability" "Persistent vomiting "Persistent pain in the abdomen." Since then the only one that's been added has been "myocarditis." If you missed those, you weren't paying attention. This revisionist history thing may be fun but is ultimately self defeating.

You forgot to mention that trump personally made more money off the presidency than every other president combined in history. "Donald Trump reported making more than $1.6 billion in outside revenue and income during his four years as President of the United States, according to a review of his financial disclosures by CREW. While Trump publicly took credit for donating his taxpayer-funded salary, that ended up being less than 0.1% of the revenue and income he disclosed during his presidency. Far from being a sacrifice, the donation was merely a fig leaf to cover up four years of brazen corruption." "Donald J. Trump paid $750 in federal income taxes the year he won the presidency. In his first year in the White House, he paid another $750. He had paid no income taxes at all in 10 of the previous 15 years — largely because he reported losing much more money than he made." You have clearly not learned the first lesson of this election. Facts don't mean squat to the MAGA base and neither does corruption.

DEI means mor points of view; it includes the ability to identify with other customers as a qualification, and it means that “good fit with a bunch of yahoos who are OK with squeezing titties” isn’t a qualification. Of course it can be misapplied, just as “best fit” can be. How many jobs have you been denied solely because of your gender or color? I can name at least two (they told me). That’s true of LOTS of women and minorities. DEI brought us medical trials being run on both men and women; it brought us female and minority suffrage. At the time, it brought us suffrage for men who didn’t own land. Which of those do you disagree with? Just because you’re happy with how things are doesn’t make them perfect Wendy P.
