An unelected billionaire ordering mass firings of federal employees. The elevation of conspiracy theorists to key government posts in healthcare and security services. The rejection of climate science and dismantling of basic environmental protections. The abrupt abandonment of liberal democratic allies and embrace of authoritarian governments across the world. The targeting of dissenters at home for constitutionally protected speech. Hard to remain optimistic!

Hi folks, Brought to you by the MAGA World: the [ school ] district told the Statesman [ newspaper ] that it was not the message that was at issue, but rather the hands of different skin tones on the poster. NW teacher refuses to remove these particular signs from classroom, as ordered - oregonlive.com Bullshit like this is why I refuse to be silent. Jerry Baumchen

Not being a Tesla/space x follower, the Thai incident is the first time I noticed Musk, I’ve never liked him. I won’t deny he is good at making money, but dunning-Kruger and life experience tells me that someone who claims to be genius level at every aspect of physics and engineering is full of BS.

But that is exactly what they did vote for. It's not as if the felon-in-chief kept it secret.

And Green Tea Tree extract mixed with dead mouse paste. In news about real medicine with proven results, Coca Leaf farmers in Bolivia are pushing to market the leaves worldwide. Yum.

Honest answer and perspective. Why the hate? Why do you care? Leave people be with their own life and stop hating people for being born. It's insane.

In doing so, district administrators appear to have inadvertently drummed up division and controversy of their own. Lol at ‘inadvertently’. Anyway, this is all part of the far right shell game. You can’t ask kids not to be racist because that’s pushing an ideology. When the kids grow up and go to college the university can’t make any effort to better think about how to admit a fair proportion of qualified black kids because that’s race based. They can give preferential admission to an unlimited number of alumni kids - who surprise surprise are almost all white - because that’s just fine and is perfectly acceptable in the ‘meritocracy’. Then when those college graduates apply for jobs you can’t give any consideration to whether there are likely to be equally talented minorities graduating from less prestigious colleges, and you can’t do anything to try and stop the racists who were never taught not to be racist from bringing their prejudices into the interview room - because if you did that would literally be worse than burning black people to death. Its all the circle of white supremacist life.

The few cases I have heard of using puberty blockers on young people have involved children who presented as being a different gender than at birth long before the confusion that can result from puberty. These are not confused adolescents.

That's not animal cruelty brother. It was anmal stupidity. It is an example of today's "look at me influencer" society. Don't give a shit about anything but how to captialize on "likes."

Doesn't it bother you that a legal US resident can be arrested and possibly deported just for expressing opinions that Trump doesn't like? To the best of my knowledge he hasn't been convicted of, or even charged with, a crime. Once you start restricting the scope of the 1st Amendment, where do you stop?

Arrogance combined with a lack of self-examination is a lot easier when you've always been on top. You kind of think you deserve it. Look at nearly every rich kid who goes to a great high school, has tutoring help, and gets into a name college because daddy and/or mommy can largely pay for it. They ALL think they earned it. Some of them did, but few of us see behind the scenes at others' homes, where their parents were depressed because they were working shit jobs (or being a housewife because it's all that was available -- and no, not all women want that), left their kids' schooling entirely up to the kids (no tutoring, no making sure there was enrichment going on), and told the kid "you can only apply to three colleges because we can't afford the application fee," while the kid is largely dependent on the public school guidance counselor to advise as to college. Equal opportunity? It's easier to get to home plate when you start out on third than on first, and even easier than when they make you buy the bat and pay for admission to the game. Wendy P.
