  1. Ever since I was a student, I've always wondered about the scaling of canopies, and whether or not they followed the concept of similitude, but generally assumed they didn't. Wouldn't it make sense to design a canopy around an ideal size / WL / performance, and then scale according to the fluid dynamics to achieve the "standard sizes", in attempts to try and create a more consistent relationship to the flight characteristics?
