I am surprised dzs allow people to coach who obviously can't fly in proximity to the student, whether that is belly, freefly, wingsuit... What's the point of coaching if you are so far away that your video is useless and you therefore cannot debrief?

Squirrel's order process & customer service is hands down the best. I hope other wingsuit manufacturers take a very close look at how & how well they do it.

Large Wingsuit Flat Spin Recovery Techniques
b52 replied to BrianSGermain's topic in Wing Suit Flying
In my opinion this video shows the best technique. It is difficult to deflate a big suit, but it is possible. I have used this technique and it works. If you cannot get out of it, your hand is on the PC, so you can pull or the force will pull for you ;) http://vimeo.com/29030812 -
Thanks for the detailed reply.

Can you add a few details about the 0 to ws base program? As far as I can tell it takes 100s of ws skydives to get to the point when you can even start thinking about ws base. How are you going to run a course that might require months/years of training? I don't mean this in a sarcastic way, some training is probably better than none, just wondering?

I like both. I just wonder if the grippers are advantageous for small inputs?
-
Since the difference is minor, why do you prefer the Shadow for example?
-
I have jumped both suits extensively and just can't decide which one to order. In the beginning I didn't care about the grippers, but I am slowly starting to like them. I want to use the suit mostly for acro and some flocking. I usually jump a Havok. I'd love to hear your opinions and why you chose one over the other. Thanks.

It's on the website: The bottom surface of the leading edge is Mylar-reinforced to maintain profile structure and proper feeding of the inlets.
-
It seems they put a lot of thought into their suits, really nice. I am a little bit torn about the Mylar though. Love that Luc's supporting them. Doesn't Robi also have a background in aerospace engineering?

Hi, I am looking for a ride from Orlando airport (MCO) to Sebastian on 12/29 in the afternoon/evening, I will arrive from Europe. Also does anyone know cheap accomodations (no camping)? Thanks.

Just saw that the page got a face lift.

I demoed an optimum (so 2 reserves in my rig), took it to sub & terminal, no problem. The opening was quick, but if you are in good shape you can handle it. If I demoed my reserve again I wouldn't take it to terminal. No good reason to do so. Practice flaring, accuracy, half brake turns,...regular pack job. Great, that you are demoing your reserve.

If you have space in your luggage that would be awesome. See u in Perris probably ;)
-
Thanks for your first impressions. Can you talk a bit about glide ratio, fall rate, forward speed,... Are you going to bring it to Perris?
-
Has anyone had the opportunity to jump the SFly Core or Fury yet?Interested to hear opinions from people who have flown them.
-
Demo them. Don't spend $1500 on a suit you might not like.

From my experience pulling in a Ghost 3 is a bit more challenging than in a Shadow or Phantom, but still pretty easy. Anyone jumped both the XBird and the Venom? How do they compare? I assume the X3 doesn't come with arm cutaway cables? (230 Inter/Advanced, 340 total ws)
-
I have a Havok too and it's my fav PF suit so far. Great perf range, agile, easy pull,...everything I want in a suit.
-
I am looking into buying a big suit (XBird, Venom, Fury...) and was hoping to get your thoughts on them. In addition to low vertical speed while maintaining a good glide, stability and a relative easy pull are important to me. Thanks in advance.
-
Has anyone flown the fury or core and has more info? I am really interested in how it compares to an x2/3 or Venom, wing pressure,...
-
Congratulations! Are wingsuits completely off the table or is it just a matter of time and figuring out the logistics?
-
Did you have a chance to fly it? What's the verdict?

Thanks for the note on elevation. It is my regular insurance and they cover accidents as you described. I guess I will get a travel insurance. Thanks for the link.
