Yes, thank you. I believe I did combine the Helen Jones and Marge Geestman stories. The point I was trying to make was that the witnesses to think Kenny was involved. I still believe that, but I don't want to misstate the facts to make that point. I stand corrected and I appreciate the clarification.

Only one person in the VORTEX thinks that's even possible. 377 I disagree...time travel to the future has always been possible. Sure, it took me 43 years to time travel from November 1971 to now. But, gosh darn it, I did it!

Was the husband the around-80-year-old guy with the cowboy hat and Texas tie who liked to dance? I saw him there this year and I thought there was something I wanted to ask him, but I couldn't remember what it was.

And, I think we can all agree that 3-5 minutes is very generous!

Jo, I was in contact with Vicki during this time and I can tell you that your story is mostly true, but that it isn't inconsistent with Vicki's either. Last December, you offered to help Vicki get in touch with Bill Mitchell. As you describe, she sent you an email to forward to him, you used that to craft an email for him, sent it on to Mitchell and asked him to contact Vicki directly. That part is true, although it was only an email, no photos were sent. Whether Bill Mitchell didn't get it, didn't read it or ignored it - either way - he never responded. Dead end. Several months later -- we're talking about September now -- Vicki, through other means, was able to learn Bill Mitchell's US Mail address. She wrote him a letter with her contact information and he emailed her back. He gave no indication he had any idea who she was prior to receiving her letter. When Bruce wanted to talk to Mitchell, she forwarded Bruce's contact info to Mitchell and he called Bruce. You've contacted Vicki before. You should know that she's not going to make up a story, especially when a little inquiry would tell you that both accounts can be accurate. You can disagree on the details of this story, but this venom on your part is not appropriate.

Geez! You crash a couple of 727's and some people will just not let it go!!!

Oh, great! Now, he's going to put that on his business cards!

...and this is why no one can argue with you. You accept your arguments on faith even when the underlying data shows otherwise. I could post more data, but this is off topic.

Ok, Robert, you have quoted one the most commonly accepted fallacies. And, I'm not bashing you for it because I would guess it's one 95% of the people believe. That is the belief that earth's population is growing at an ever faster rate and will eventually overwhelm the planet. That's not so -- and I refer you to the United Nations population study pages for this. In 1963, the world's population was growing at about 2% per year. 50 years later (now), it is about half that. 50 years from now, it will half again. Sometime by the end of the next century, the world's population is expected to stabilize at around 11 billion. Many richer countries, like Japan, are already declining. China (with 1.48 billion people) may not even reach 1.5 billion. And, while it's true that third world countries are growing faster than those rates listed above, the growth rate of virtually every country in the world has been decreasing.

I have a small time bank robber friend (I say "small time" because she robbed banks in grocery stores and often got away with only about $1500). She said "Nobody who ever robbed a bank and got away with it, stopped at one."

All well and good to quote cutesy psychobabble from the internet or a Google link. Quite another to do a hard investigation, keep records and notes, etc on a suspect. This psychobabble, i.e. trying to write off everything known on KC and Bernie Geestman with a flippant posting like that reminds of a scene from the film E.T. - The Extra-Terrestrial: Reality is hitting the bricks and working...not looking to the internet for generalized answers that really answer nothing. Unfortunately, the cutesy psychobabble was from a peer reviewed research study. It was obtained from the library through Metropolitan State College. Do you think these terms we are using are pulled out of our ass? No....they were learned from taking four years of Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice classes with an emphasis on psychology and victim rights. If I would have linked a YouTube video of an old song would you get it? That's commendable. But that's all it is. A term. It's a blanket statement, supported by a Google entry, that attempts to explain away a legit investigation with a pithy, non-supported argument using a psychobabble definition from the internet. Anyone can post a definition of something. But you didn't relate it to anything really specific regarding Kenny Christiansen and Bernie Geestman. You know what I think? I think some of you over 'there' are just pissed off I decided to cooperate with Geestman's family. I never said I knew KC was the hijacker, or that Geestman was involved. I've made that pretty plain. But I keep working on finding out. Does this threaten you or something? Be honest now. Are you or 'we' (whomever 'we' is) feel threatened because I decided to hit the bricks again and try to let Geestman's family assist in the investigation? This is not exactly a new thing for them. I said earlier they've been following the case since January 2011, and some of them have been asking the same questions I did. You can quote your pithy stuff and tell me how educated you are. Let me know as soon as you solve the case, something thousands of FBI agents and more than forty years have failed to do. Around this office, we do things in the real world, actually working and interacting and trying to discover answers. Thank you.

I think this paragraph is telling...It's not that people think you want to twist the facts. It's that you BELIEVE that Kenny is the hijacker. As a result, you not only give more weight to information that supports the view, you view any information through that lens. For example, in the quote above, you're saying none of Bernie's family had any knowledge of the hijacking. In fact, none of your witnesses claim any knowledge of the hijacking. You believe they do, and you're trying to extract that information. The most likely reason your witnesses don't claim to know anything is there is nothing for them to know.

Confirmation bias, also called myside bias, is the tendency to search for or interpret information in a way that confirms one's beliefs or hypotheses.

It IS like Sixth Sense. Haley Joel Osment sees dead people, but they don't know they're dead. So, they just keep mingling among the living. Robert keeps posting because he doesn't know he doesn't show up on DropZone. Quick, Robert, change your profile picture to Bruce Willis!

Obviously...you can still see RMB. I am on my work computer and I still cannot see any of his posts. I have not seen them since 377 responded about the deleted post. I saw it "deleted" as well. Now it is just gone. Shutter, I think this is a movie called "Sixth Sense II", and you have the role of Haley Joel Osment. Only instead of dead people, you can see Robert Blevins and nobody else can.

Duane, If you're interested in the subject, why not stay around and learn more about the case? There's not been much new lately, but earlier in this thread (and in the prior thread that is now closed), there is a lot of really good information about the case. It doesn't matter what brought you here, but you're welcome to stay.

I was on a flight today and read my copy of "Into the Blast" thinking a new version was coming out today? Did it not come out?

Don't worry, Andy. Robert has been saying he's done with Cooper and leaving DropZone almost since the time he got on here. Go back and read his posts all the way back to September 2010. You can have Robert's going away party when you're 40! Also, I thought of Danielle1010's posts when I saw this: http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/11313755/man-charged-urinating-art-modell-grave (A man arrested for urinating on Art Modell's grave)

Hmmmmm....Robert, what do you think it means to "set someone straight"? Well, from the freedictionary.com "set (someone) straight To correct (someone) by providing full and accurate information." http://www.thefreedictionary.com/set+(someone)+straight A lot of what Galen wrote is written to get a rise out of you, but that comment clearly wasn't.

54604 and 54605 are missing? What happened to them?
-
Especially when the "threat" was someone wanting to say "I'm Mike Wallace, I'm from 60 Minutes and would like to ask you some questions".
-
Well, if Cook has been pulling your leg to get a rise out of you and see what you'd do -- I think Cook won this one! You can do that? Why didn't Marcia Clark and the rest of the OJ prosecution think of that?

I'll remind you of that the next time someone: 1) Talks about their ongoing health problems. 2) Discusses their Hawkins .50 cal. 3) Brings up another insult with my name attached to it in the subject header. 4) Talks about Mucklow and sex crap. Etc. Never said who I voted for, only that I asked the question and it was a question subbed to the general public, not Democrats. Truth was no one could really think of too many answers to the question, which I found sort of amusing. I liked Laura Bush's book. Did say that. I don't judge people on whether they are Democrat, Republican, or an independent. That's their business. I'll admit that true discussion on Cooper is sometimes a bit lacking around here, though. Fair enough. But, bringing up other inappropriate posts does not make your political posts appropriate.

It's possible the newspaper reporter who got the updated report on Kenny is already doing that. Why don't we leave it to them. I understand your feelings about 'Georgie' (George Bush) though. I once ran a poll at Newsvine asking people to name just three things he did that were good while he was in office. Nobody could name three together, but the two most common responses were these: 1) AIDS program in Africa 2) Established new National Park in Hawaii. And that was about it. Some folks tried using 'No Child Left Behind' but I disallowed that answer in advance because Bush never funded the program effectively. I do share your pain about the eight years he was in office. Book Review: I've read Bush's book (Decision Points), I've read the First Lady's book (Spoken From The Heart). Her book is WAY better. She even does a heart-to-heart about the car accident where she was driving and a friend of hers got killed. After I read it, I thought SHE should have been running things.

Bradley Collins was an interesting character. He showed up the day before the DB Cooper symposium in Tacoma last year. When talking to him, he gave what sounded like a scripted story -- include poems like the ones at the end of the article. Then, he did said he could not stay for the symposium, which struck me as very odd because having a large group of people knowledgeable about the case would have been a great way to publicize his book. Finally, Bruce showed up and didn't let him give his canned speech and prodded him with questions. He left upset and his wife (who also claimed to be his agent) had to come back in and talk to Bruce. I'd have to say Bruce wasn't exactly challenging him with hard questions, either. And, his second book is coming out because he couldn't fit all of the information in his first book? Even though it only ran 66 pages? I thought 377 might have ordered his book. Good for him, as I speak as possibly the only person to have bought GreyCop's book (which I'm happy to send to anyone who wants to read it. ),
