  1. You really should NOT have confirmed that Galen registered as Coopersnoop. I was only guessing. Robert, You are so conspiratorial. I confirmed Galen was Coopersnoop? I don't have any information you don't have. I inferred who Coopersnoop was from his posts, just like you did. As Shutter has posted....everyone has been polite at the new site. There is nothing wrong with having two sites....You suggest Shutter's site is exclusive and only a select few are allowed to post. Not true. Far more people are disqualified from posting on DZ than on the new site. And, most of us still read and post on both sites. He seem to be complaining about issues that don't exist.
  2. Let's face it. You've been doing this type of thing to other people for a while now... And you ended up returning to that thread anyway. I actually feel pretty good about this. I no longer feel I'm being singled out by you. Looks like a lot of people got 'the treatment,' and long before I ever showed up here at DZ. Robert -- I think you are conflating two web sites. Bruce create a blog site (dbcooper.wordpress.com) that allowed users to register and comment. Galen registered there under his real name and posted about Lyle Christenson etc. Last weekend (February 24), Shutter started his web site. On that site, Galen registered as "CooperSnoop". There was no talk about Lyle or you and Porteous at that site. You are accusing Shutter of being less than above board on his site and it's just not so.
  3. Is that why they call you Smokin?
  4. Can you imagine if Vince Bugliosi defended an accused Cooper? Besides being a formidable prosecutor and razor sharp defense lawyer he is a very talented author. Read The Sea Will Tell or Helter Skelter. I'd love to read a Bugliosi book on Norjack. It would be a masterpiece. 377 I've read both and I agree. Interesting that you mention this, 377. I had thought the exact same thing many times. In addition to those books, there is Bugliosi's 1600 page book on the John F. Kennedy assassination where he addresses nearly all of the conspiracy theories and dedicates a whole chapter on the artistic license taken by the movie JFK (basically large parts of that movie were simply made up). He also wrote a very quick but good read on the O.J. Simpson murder trial. Before his book, media consensus was that the prosecution did a good job, but the defense was better. His book kind of altered public perception to the viewpoint that the prosecution botched the case. If he wrote a book analyzing all of the Cooper suspects, we'd spend a lot less time going over all the same nonsense. However, he's now at least 75 years old, so that's probably not a possibility.
  5. I'm trying to figure out if you're trying to trick us. Sonny and Cher said "I got you, babe". Bob Dylan said "It ain't me, babe".
  6. AND JO WEBER knows what a money hungry creep you are. [/RED] Jo, You can call Bruce a lot of things, but I don't think you can call him "money hungry". He lives modestly and has spent many years researching the DB Cooper case without making a dime on it. Fair is fair. (edited to turn my text back to black)
  7. Bruce....Oh, the things you miss when you go on vacation! A new poster came on suggesting he had a new suspect and he posted a picture of him that I thought looked a lot like Christopher Walken. Then, I posted a RobertMBlevins-esqe post listing all of the many reasons why Christopher Walken was a good suspect in the Cooper hijacking. So, Georger posted side by side photos of the original suspects photo and Christopher Walken, and I just used the Walken photo as my avatar. And do you know what the strange part is? Even though my post was totally in jest, it was not the weirdest one on here! I don't have a favorite Christopher Walken movie, but I was recently watching "Annie Hall" and I forgotten that he was in that!
  8. I am no longer releasing anything new concerning Kenny Christiansen. There are a couple of reasons. First, although the vast majority of the information that has been released about him (contrary to popular opinion) is TRUE, it is also true a few mistakes were made concerning his financial transactions during the one-year period following the hijacking. Most are minor, and don't really affect the testimony of the witnesses, or the basic fact that Kenny was loaning out thousands of dollars to the *alleged* accomplice's sister and somehow managed to buy a house along the way. So...we are investigating that facet of Kenny's life further. So is Shutter. I still have a strong suspicion that Kenny was Cooper, but until we get the stuff on his house purchase right, no more goes out about him. I've been asked: 'Okay...so when do you plan to do this? When will you update these things?' Fair question, and here's the answer: On Saturday afternoon, August 10th, at the Auburn Avenue Theater, Auburn WA, during the annual 'Auburn Days' festival. It's well-known I have trust issues going with some Cooperland residents. And I have perfectly good reasons for this. For example, the first time I was scheduled to present the infamous Kenny Christiansen slideshow at the Ave for that particular year's festival...someone called up City Hall and made threats. The city responded by calling up both me and festival director Connie Henke and giving us a heads-up. A plainclothes cop hung out in the lobby. We put on the show anyway and nothing happened. But this is the kind of lowlife, crazy shit you get from *some* people in Cooperland. Or they post up shit comments on every Cooper article they can find until mods step in or the poor author is forced to delete the article. Trust? I don't have that in Cooperland. I trust 377, Amazon, a few others here. Some I don't. Especially the two who forgot that not only can I occasionally call on the services of a certain PI, but who forgot IP's can be traced. I won't mention names publicly. One of them I haven't seen a post from in months. The other is a regular at Dropzone and not a skydiver. Yesterday I was asked to create an official Facebook community page for the Adventures in Literature event that I co-chair at the Auburn Ave Theater. So I did. Another Cooper-type book author will be making an appearance and doing his own slideshow. I was asked to follow that with an updated version of the Kenny Christiansen slideshow, and I have agreed to that. The other author is not Bruce Smith, Geoff Gray, and certainly not GreyCop. Other than that, I can't tell you until late June when we print up the speaking schedule. Warning: That FB page is admin'd by some fairly smart people, and unlike outside articles, you have to sign in to Facebook to post. And that means even if you create a bogus account to make shit comments, you can be traced easily. My techie guy Greg at AB says so, and I believe him. He types code at 70wpm and has been making computers jump through hoops for him since Windows 3.0. Besides, we would just shut you off, delete your post, and report you to Facebook. If they find out you have ANOTHER account from the same IP, your REAL account at FB will vanish quicker than a fart in the wind. This is Seattle baby and we know how to do tech around this town.
  9. Yup. Brains literally get scrambled. For decades. And the the NFL tries to settle out for what really is a pittance given the number of players concussed and the severity of their injuries. The NFL prints money, they have enormous resources. A judge isn't playing ball though and is balking at approving it even though the parties have accepted it. When I was in engineering school some ME students outfitted a pro football player with helmet mounted accelerometers and telemetry. The recorded forces were shocking. Nobody expected them to be that high. That was 40 years ago. The beat goes on. Literally. 377 You know what really annoys me???? I can't figure out how the NFL managed to swing being a non-profit.... Talk about a sweetheart deal for all those billionaire owners. I believe only the league office is a non-profit. The individual clubs are taxable entities.
  10. Can I paraphrase what you are saying, Robert? You are saying if there are errors on your publicly posted DB Cooper page, you will fix them one time and only the ones directly submitted to you? And if there are still errors, or other items are found to be errors in the future you intend to just leave them there? Second question, how does someone buying a home assuming a mortgage for half of the purchase "suspicious circumstances"? It would seem someone buying a house for cash would be more suspicious?
  11. Just remember, the Seahawks were 15-0 this season when they outscored their opponents. If they can do that tomorrow, I think they have an excellent chance.
  12. GreyCop's book was print to order. I bought one at the University of Washington Book Store. They'll print it while you wait and it takes about 20 minutes. I wonder if I'm the only one who bought a copy. you just might be the only one Ha Ha Ha I think he always use to say. glad you made it home safe and sound..... Thanks. I thought you'd be upset with me for crashing and destroying two 727's on your simulator! Didn't Vicki tell you I decided to only charge one hours cost to operate a 727. also was not in the position of accepting checks I was able to repair the planes you decided to check gravitational pull with. the theory of what goes up must come down was taken literally in your case. all joking aside, I hope you enjoyed the time..... Yes, I enjoyed it. It was very nice meeting you and seeing the simulator. It was a very impressive set up. And, to respond to Georger's comment....I only crashed two because MrShutter ran out of 727s!

  14. He had not come right out and said it ... but I was just this { } close... a skosh more an I would have made it. The list is short. But those on it are of a rare breed! Matt Am I on it, Matt? I forget. I know you're on it, but I don't know why. I thought you were the most courageous person at Ariel because you walked over to the DB Cooper Memorabilia corner with GC ALL BY YOURSELF. Vicki was watching your back, I think, and made an intervention after awhile. But you took the first few steps by yourself, and bought his book. Cajones, I say. I'm on the list, yes. But I have no idea what the second paragraph you wrote is about, I wasn't there. That must be someone else. Matt That was me who went over and talked to GreyCop in Ariel. We're both "M"'s, so easy to confuse. I couldn't make sense of his story. Vicki came over after several minutes and told him they had copies of "Ha Ha Ha" for sale and he scampered right away. As near as I can tell, the way to get on GreyCop's cowards list is to refuse to call him and talk about the case. I bought a copy of his book to give him a fair chance. But, it seems like me, Bruce and Matt are the permanent three members of that list.

  16. Not unless Duane Weber was a suspect!
  17. Damn! That was one gutsy jump. Exit at an estimated 350 mph, tumble, stabilize, pull so close to the ground that your hang time is about five seconds... and with only a chest reserve with a 24 ft unsleeved canopy, no altimeter, no goggles. Makes all my jumps seem like walks in the park, even my two cutaways. 377 Too bad you couldn't make it up to the symposium and Ariel in 2013. Robb was a really nice guy and very willing to answer any questions. You, as a jumper, would have enjoyed talking to him.
  18. BS. This is NOT what I told you yesterday in my email. Since you decided to use me as an example, I will make that info public. I told you THIS: There is a very nice couple who attends Ariel each year. I interviewed the wife for the video. They are from Amboy, and their main claim to fame is that they have raised about 350 foster children for the State of Washington. The wife's name is Carol, I believe. Her husband is Frank. Check the 38:43 minute point of my Ariel 2012 video on that. Her interview begins just after that point. Interviewing the wife privately, she said they knew the people who owned the property where the chute was unearthed. They were neighbors she said, and I believe her. These people are well-known in the Amboy/Ariel area and are lifelong residents. The wife is a petite brunette who looks younger than her 60+ years. The husband is 'portly' and always wears a string tie, dresses like a cowboy, about 70 years of age. Very nice folks. I'm not giving out their full names. You want to know who they are, where they live? Ask Dona Elliot. Bruce: Last time I ever drop any information on you privately. Interesting, Robert. I met that guy at Ariel and talked to him for a few minutes. (Not too difficult to remember as he was the only old guy who was dressed like a cowboy). If I had known who he was, I'd have asked him about the parachute. You're right...he looks like he's about 70. I was very surprised when he told me was 80! That's 12 years younger than Betty White!
  19. Robert, I'm sorry. This just sounds bad. It's like watching Ron Ziegler or other press spokesman claiming he can't answer questions because of some contrived policy. If someone else made a statement like that on here, you'd be all over them, and rightfully so. All you're doing is creating the impression in others that you don't really want the facts on Kenny to come out. As I said, some mistakes were made on this little KC journey. But not necessarily ones that either prove or disprove his suspect status. There were errors. So until we get it all straightened out, and come to a fully accurate picture on everything we can, I just don't wish to release anything else we may have discovered. Come on...none of you believe he was the guy anyway, so what is the big deal? You all wrote him off long ago, correct? Robert, I don't have a preferred suspect (except maybe Christopher Walken) and I would say I have my doubts about all of the named suspects. This is not a legal proceding, it's just a discussion forum. You can say what you know, say what you think, but can't verify and say what you're looking into. Mr. Shutter has been looking into property records and is reporting what he finds. Robert, sometimes you attract some venom on this forum because you come off as a bit of a know-it-all, but you certainly have a right to post and defend your comments. And, Mr. Shutter is doing exactly what you asked for. He is doing some investigation into Kenny Christiansen.
  20. Robert, I'm sorry. This just sounds bad. It's like watching Ron Ziegler or other press spokesman claiming he can't answer questions because of some contrived policy. 21. The problem is he didn't own it, nor did he even provide it. That was done by the true owner, Norman Hayden. In addition, it's very unlikely the Amboy chute is actually made of silk. He should have come up with something like 'the stitching doesn't match,' 'it's way too large,' or maybe 'it's a cargo chute'. But he did not. If after all of that, people choose to believe that the Amboy chute was truly accounted for, and was not used by Cooper, then I challenge them to find a single solid reason that supports that opinion. Norman Hayden says that he purchased that used military chute about 1968, and there is no way to tell how OLD the canopy inside actually was when he purchased it. Twenty-three years old? Maybe, maybe not. But it's hard to tell. Note: Over at eBay I did a quick check and discovered all kinds of NB-6, NB-8's, and other military rigs for sale. The ones running about $900 and up are fully certified. Some went back as far as the Korean War. That's sixty years. I'm beginning to think that a twenty-three year old canopy in an NB-6 (or 8, possibly) could easily have been sold to Norman Hayden in 1968, and then certified by Cossey on a re-pack. If you compare those dates to today, it would be like purchasing a used military rig from say...1990. (I think this particular question should be addressed by skydivers more than yours truly, though. I have read postings from skydivers saying they've jumped 40-year-old military rigs, but they made sure they had a good reserve.) Robert, Where did you get the idea that Cooper was given a 25 year old chute? If you don't think so, why was the FBI wrong to disqualify the Amboy chute?
  22. But, Robert, that's the point. The only reason anyone would think AB is about Cooper or KC is that you post about it here. And, why would Gayla read DZ unless you talk about your conversations here?
  23. Ok, I'll ask the question....then why are you posting here, Robert? This is a DB Cooper discussion forum. What is to be gained by waiting until your book "Cooperland" comes out? You say it is only going to be tangentially about the Cooper case, but more about the personalities of the folks who follow the case. So, you find information about the case, but you won't post it. But, you will post about the Seahawks game, your cleaning business your Sci-Fi books and lots of other topics. You can talk about what you want...but if that's what you want to talk about, why are you doing it here?
  24. Just curious, Robert....did you hear anything back on the package you sent?
