  5. I think you are right, since there are no letters on Airtech's web site other than what they cliam has occured that is on their letterhead!!!
  6. Do not pass go and do not collect a trip to Florida Discrimination is not small claims (not if you have a solid case) According to BOB by his own post on a public forum the issue was not discrimination but the Cypress which was in his rig, which by the way is not listed in Delta’s policy and as such makes it a gray area since no one can come up with TSA/FAA letter about the Cypress......check mate
  7. You can't sue the airlines for refusing service. Read the fine print. By accepting the ticket you agree that the airline can refuse service to anyone for any reason. And more specifically if the pilot says no, that ends the discussion, period. I think in time the issues will work out. Right now everyone is making knee-jerk reaction decisions. It may have even helped to have a copy of their policy on carryon rigs. I make it a point to take all of the information I can with me. It would also probably help if Airtech had a copy of the TSA/FAA letter available on their web site to refer to. If everyone sent letters and emails to all involved we might be able to resove this. I sent the following email to Delta, TSA, FAA, Dulles customer service, USPA, PIA and Airtech.
  8. OK, so thats easy, come to Florida. (70F & sunny today) 15 DZ's and a wind tunnel. And Disney, Universal, beaches and shopping for the wife and kids.

    advice

I have to totally disagree with this. To tell small children that you may not come home every time you go skydiving would be a terrible emotional burden on them. I am a father of four children and three grandchildren and I cannot imagine making them worry like that every time I went jumping. I have always been honest with my family. They all know the risk that is involved in both the sport and my work. Whenever I leave to go jumping or to work I tell them I love them, just as I do any other time that I leave. My wife and I have taken steps to make sure our family will be taken care of no matter what happens to us at any time. My view is that if I could live my life over again I wouldn’t change anything, and if I am taken away today I am at peace with God. If you do this I think that you will be at peace with yourself and be able to enjoy the things that you like to do in life (skydiving).
