  1. I don't use a packing mat myself but for the most part I don't drag my rig. I don't like pputting it down on the bear floor either so I will throw a sweater underneath so that it stays relatively clean that way and if it does drag a little bit it isn't on the ground. I don't do a lot of fancy things with my stiletto. The main thing I check is that my slider is quartered, and that the lines are even from the risers. Other than that I just pack. Openings are great! far better than some that I know that spend a lot of time being too neat with their stilettos. Age S.E.X. party #2 ..It is far worse to live with fear, than to die confronting it.
  2. yes, Justified but excessive from my point of view which isn't a very big one given the angles of the three feeds and the lack of good sound.(keep in mind that I wasn't there and have never been in the cops situation). I hope everything on that score turns out as it should. S.E.X. party #2 ..It is far worse to live with fear, than to die confronting it.
  3. did at least 6 for my engineering degree... they tried to get sneaky with some and not call it calculus made up stealthy names like differential equations, and complex analysis... don't let them get you S.E.X. party #2 ..It is far worse to live with fear, than to die confronting it.
  4. As a young black male that has lived in a City where it seemed that Cops chased and shot black males for sport I can understand why the race card gets played everytime there is an incident between cops and black folks. I personally have never had a police weapon drawn on me. But during my younger years I was pulled over and questioned quite a few more times than I felt I deserved just so they could ask me questions like "Who's car are you driving?" c'mon we all know that they know this before they pull you over.." My cousin however was pulled over during one of the citys searches for a "black male" and put in a holding cell for 48hrs with no phone call. He was cavity searched and treated like a common criminal. My cousin hardly has ever had parking tickets. He later received a form apology letter from the city. Rodney King's incident did nothing for the race situation between cops and black folk. It exacerbated an already tensioned situation to the max. As a result of things like these most black people are scared of police. I know I have been in the past and when I go south of the border I still am a bit (the media does nothing to help this) And what do most humans do when they are scared? They run. What do cops do when they run? Shoot (ok so there is a little more to this but you get my drift). There is a constant recipe for disaster. I hesitated posting to this because of several reasons. 1. I wanted to see some of your true colours as it were. I find that events like this make the biggot and the racist, and the supremecist easy to spot. 2. I thought that people would assume that I would take the suspects side because of our shared skin colour. I am glad to see that for the most part the "true colours" of the people posting here are pretty close to what I have seen from them in the past and that most of you are keeping your heads on about this discussion. And though I don't think that the suspect should have been shot 8 times. I do think that he was an idiot. Had he just been running I would have understood but he was walking with 3 units (at least 6 guns potentially pointed at him.) Stop and Drop was the name of the game that day: maybe he didn't get the memo. Another memo he maybe didn't get:The person with the gun pointed at you, makes the rules. Note before anyone accuses me of being a Cop hater or anything I worked closely with our national police force for over a year. Very eye opening experience on both sides of the coin. comments welcome. Age S.E.X. party #2 ..It is far worse to live with fear, than to die confronting it.
  5. In a word yes! A D-bag can be too big. At my Dz there are several people that jump with D-bags that are bigger than what was intended initially for their containers. Both of them deploy fine most of the time. Last year though one of those people had 3 reserve rides in like a month. Finally tired of it he sent everything to PD who looked at it and determined that it was a combination of his too big d-bag and out of trim lines that was causing him his issue. He was only flying a Sabre 210. My guess is that on an elliptical more unstable canopy that his situationss could have been a lot more ugly. The D-bag should come with the rig and if you are buying one that doesn't come with make sure you subtract the price from the rig cause you are gonna have to get your rigger to make you one or order one from the container manufacturer. 7. I know the feeling... When I ordered my Voodoo I had the choice and I thought to myself damn... that 1-ince deal is small. I talked to my rigger and he said that it was strong enough and that I didn't have to worry and so I got it. After about 20 or so Jumps I am used to it now and it doesn't bother me that much... I still look at it sometimes and think,, damn.. that is small.. AGe S.E.X. party #2 ..It is far worse to live with fear, than to die confronting it.

  11. As much as I knew that there wouldn't be a picture of you naked. I still had to look. Damn that human nature,... Age S.E.X. party #2 ..It is far worse to live with fear, than to die confronting it.
  12. I wear one too. I am not very creative in my responses. I just tell them its a skydiving thang. and they usually leave it at that. Either because they don't believe me or cause they now think I am crazy..
  13. Ok. now I know it was only a work print that I saw but Oh man is the movie bad. I voted it as Terrible or @#%#ing Terrible while my room mate opted for the 3 word description: Piece of Shit. The story goes nowhere. The acting was mediocre but I don't think they could have done any better cause the script sucked. I will go see it in the theatre if I get a free showing but otherwise. Save your money it isn't worth it folks... Age S.E.X. party #2 ..It is far worse to live with fear, than to die confronting it.

  15. I bought my Voodoo from Roy at RigsNThings and the service was commendable. Even Contacted RI on my behalf when I had a problem a little while later. Age S.E.X. party #2 ..It is far worse to live with fear, than to die confronting it.
  16. Maybe not, but you do seem to have your head on right, as well as have a good attitude for digesting the information that comes up on this forum. Age S.E.X. party #2 ..It is far worse to live with fear, than to die confronting it.
  17. I have thought of that.... there is always hope .... right? S.E.X. party #2 ..It is far worse to live with fear, than to die confronting it.
  18. Funny I had a similar conversation at the DZ yesterday. I was telling them that I am content to be single until I find a "good" one that skydives and rides, or at least skydives. I was with a girl like that before but I let her leave for Taiwan. She even drank beer too. But she is coming back this way. hopefully we can work things cause I think in the grand scheme of things she is a keeper. 19. Talking things over is definetly good. Hopefully this was just a serious lapse in judgement on his part. dudes we like can still get us killed so just becareful. have fun Age S.E.X. party #2 ..It is far worse to live with fear, than to die confronting it.
  20. First impression: Did you know this guy?o you usually jump with him? Sounds like his head is in his... Kind of person I label as dangerous and avoid like the plague. More impressions that are less shot from the hip may follow as I read the subsequent posts. AGE S.E.X. party #2 ..It is far worse to live with fear, than to die confronting it.
  21. Don't have my log book in front of me but... I did 65 jumps my first year on Mantas and Cruiselites, then in year two.. maybe 10 jumps in I bought a semi eliptical BT-60 (170 sq ft.), by the end of year 3 (at about 150-170 jumps) I had put jumps on Sabre 135, Spectre 135, Stiletto 150 and 135. At the beginning of this season I bought a stiletto 135. Age S.E.X. party #2 ..It is far worse to live with fear, than to die confronting it.
  22. I have a bev suit and am male... I think though I do cry more lately... anyway the point is it fits me like it was made for me even though I picked it up used for 150 including shipping from the classifieds..
  23. Well let me see if I can make you feel bettter. I am unemployed, on EI, Visa Popped yesterday, MC popped a while ago, Student line of credit (13500) payments keep getting higher but my income is fixed. I try to be positive, but some days it is hard. Cause the 2 things I love to do in life (ride my motorcycle and skydive) cost money that I barely have. And there is no end in sight. If it weren't for good skydiving friends and this place I'd hate to think where or if I'd be. The days would be way longer without DZ.com. Let me smile for you
  24. No Faber, I suspect she worded it that way on purpose. In my case the deer did hit my car as opposed to the other way. I does happen. I had seen the deer down the highway, there were 4 of them blocking the entire road. I slowed down in time to stop in front of where they were. Three of them bolted the rest of the way across the road. The fourth one hesitated for a second took a step sideways which now lined him up with my door and then bolted. Effectively running into my passenger side door. Then he jumped over the car and disappeared leaving only deer snot on the side of my car and some minor dents as proof that he had been there.. yep he hit me..
