Guidelines? Let's see: 1. Nothing that didn't actually come out of an actual wardrobe should be worn. That doesn't mean it can't be from 1943, but it has to have been "in service" at one point or another. 2. It absolutely, positively cannot be color coordinated with any gear or other article of clothing that you wear throughout the course of the jumping day. 3. You may not inform any other person at the DZ that your outfit is for this special occasion. You must give off the impression that this is nothing more than an everyday outfit... 4. You must attempt to hit on a member of the opposite sex at least once (respectfully of course)... #4 is optional, but would definitely make for the best pics!!! :) I'm open to suggestions... Not only would it be difficult to provide these services from a DZ owner perspective, but how many skydiver's do you know that could afford to spend anymore money than we already have to!!! :) "pull high! It's lower than you think..."

Hell yes! The worse, the better! I think, however, that we should try not to make them too off the wall so as to not give away our little secret. I mean come on, let's face it, no matter how horribly Clay dresses, if he shows up in a sheep costume no one is going to believe it's just normal attire... Or would they??? Only kidding clay... The more I think about this the more anxious I'm becoming at seeing some photos...! "pull high! It's lower than you think..."

For not caring how you look, you sure did make a lot of excuses just now... :) Don't just preach it... Live it! Here's a proposition for everyone: This coming up weekend, to honor our Freedom at the DZ, I say we all sport the craziest articles of clothing we can dig out of our closets! I'll leave it up to the collective imaginations of each and every one of you to practice discretion where you see fit (or not). Then, on Monday, we'll all posts pictures... Maybe we could even give out a prize for the "best dressed"? Pun very much intended... The only catch is: You CAN'T tell anyone else that you're doing it for a specific reason. You must simply carry on about your normal skydiving business like normal... "pull high! It's lower than you think..."

Preface *caution* I am NOT qualified to give advice nor am I trying to in this post. I'm simply stating my limited experience under a stiletto loaded around the same as the one you're looking to purchase... With that said, I fully agree with Clay on his comments about short toggle stroaks and 'bowtie' on the canopy... My control lines were extended and I've experienced none of the phenom's that people warned me of before switching over. It flies very similar to the Sabre 2 I flew at the same size with very minimal over steer. "pull high! It's lower than you think..."

I say all the staff for the dropzone in question should sit down and have a meeting regarding the issue. Then, based on the results, the owner (or her employer) should have the final say in the matter. However, if the employer choses to keep her employed they should definitely re-visit their local policies no such items and ammend them accordingly so as to prevent this type of thing again... aggivedave. you said you were loading a 190 at 1.45 ? That means you're like 275 out the door??? A rig doesn't usually weigh more than 25 lbs so that puts your body weight at 250 ish? Is that correct? "pull high! It's lower than you think..."

I may actually have just what you're looking for. My roommate may be having to move to North Carolina very soon and I'll need someone to fill his spot here. I live in sunny southern California about 50 minutes from both Perris Valley and Elsinore dropzones and 15 minutes from Newport and Huntington beach... PM me if you're interested and we can talk... I forgot to mention that I now have a J-3 loaded with a stiletto 150 and a temp 170 and it also fits fine... There is a little extra material at the bottom corners of the pack tray but it doesn't really show when all closed. Maybe a slight wrinkle or two... "pull high! It's lower than you think..."

2/3 's under a tri? I didn't know that... So you're saying he's only got approximately a 100 on high performance canopies and some of those are elipticals loaded at higher than 1.8???!!! Holy crap! To the pilot "rhino" be careful my friend...! I'm not judging your decisions, just reminding you to balance some safety with your fun... "pull high! It's lower than you think..."

So what's it like flying a canopy that heavily loaded? Do things just come at you and happen super quick or what? 1.85 is super extreme and you must have advanced really quick with 300 jumps... Do you do mostly swooping or what? "pull high! It's lower than you think..."

I had that exact same setup some time ago and it fit fairly snug. We did end up shortening the closing loop to make it fit better, but that was it... My reserve was a pd160 even so yours should probably work out just right. However, its always best to check with a qualified rigger first. "pull high! It's lower than you think..."

It's an awesome feeling to know that you can overcome fear! Congrats and good luck finishing the rest of your training... :) "pull high! It's lower than you think..."

I don't think it's dwelling on negativity at all... This info is very useful in educating others from mistakes... "pull high! It's lower than you think..."

We have a glider outfit right next door to Elsinore as well... I remember about a month ago we descended past one that pretty close to our airspace at about 3500... It was a cool sight, but could've easily been more dangerous had we been just a little further out... So how do they coordinate that stuff anyway? Do the two airfields communicate as to when there is traffic and when there isn't? "pull high! It's lower than you think..."

roses are red, violets are blue... I'm going skydiving tomorrow, sucks to be you! only kidding.... "pull high! It's lower than you think..."

It's one thing to steal and bring trouble on yourself, but to purposefully sabotage a reserve parachute??? That's plain evil! "pull high! It's lower than you think..."

good point... "pull high! It's lower than you think..."

That's cool that your finding that theres interest by others in your photos... How cool would that be to be able to make money doing something your passionate about... I hope to see you out there again sometime this summer... Maybe this time we can get a jump or two in...? "pull high! It's lower than you think..."

For me it's easy to control now, but I still get noticeably afraid after taking a few weeks off... It seems to go away after the first jump though. I'd say early on the biggest contributing factor to whether or not I had fun on a jump was; if I was jumping alone or with someone else. Having someone out there with you always made things more fun... "pull high! It's lower than you think..."

Yeah, I don't know who this was either, but if you feel like buying some more jumps let me know... I'll tell you where you can send the money! :) "pull high! It's lower than you think..."
