Mine just arrived today, its the cx760. Yes its comes with a .26 wide angle built in and comes with a step ring for 52mm. From the footage I've seen with it, the BOSS stabilization seems just as good if not a little better than electronic. I'll know more when I start playing around with it.

My experience has shown me that cops can take anything they want, when they want. I pulled up to a check point one day on my way home from work and had my weapon laying in the passenger seat, holstered. The cop took my firearm and my CWP back to his car to run the numbers. He then came back to the car only with my CWP and told me I would have to contact the county to get my firearm back. I contacted the county and they refused to give back my firearm and said oh well, get a lawyer. I contacted several lawyers and their fee for getting my firearm back was higher than the gun itself. It was a 450$ glock 23. They told me my firearm was scheduled for distruction, lol yeah right. Having a CWP doesnt mean anything.

as everyone has pointed out, you have a whole lot of options and it mostly depends on how much time you have and also how much money you have. Do you plan on staying in a room every night or do you plan on camping, or maybe a little of both? The interstates will be quickest but not too much there for scenery. The transamerica bike route will give the most scenery but in some areas the most desolate. It also depends on which DZs you would like to visit. Whichever way you plan your trip, its a great trip!

I remember when you could purchase a complete rig for 1500$ to 2000$. Those days are gone. I'm sure some in the sport longer than I can remember them cheaper than that.

thats where I learned to skydive back in 87. Very good people. Cant go wrong jumping there. They make you feel like part of the family.

I'm assuming you are wealthy enough to pay out of pocket for medical services if when you are hurt or become ill? haha not hardly. If I become ill, then I will die piecefully at home.

everyone you talk to will have a different experience concerning insurance, some with bad experiences and some with good. my experience has left such a bad taste that I dont believe in insurance anymore. My experience has shown me that insurance companies pick and choose what they are willing to pay for. When it comes to insurance, just be careful.

I think they build the rig according to the canopies you select and will be able to downsize 2 sizes for the main. someone correct me if I'm wrong. they have a sizing chart on their site so you can see what size container your looking at getting.

The problem isn't that people are skydiving bullies around here, it's that they are Internet bullies. I may be a low timer in the skydiving world, but I have been working professionally with Internet services and communities for almost 20 years and what I see around here is all too common in the Internet world. People taking conversational tones, attitudes, and addressing people in manner that if used in the real world, would eventually get them popped in the mouth. For me, I'm used to it. I've been around this block many times before most people even realized the block existed. I cut my teeth on Internet communities way more vicious than this one so I don't mind sifting through the crap to find the gems. However that is not the case for most people. Most people aren't used to it, and will not put up with the amount of vitriol that can be produced around here. This is why the vast majority of experienced skydivers I know in the real world think this site is a joke. If I mention anything about this site other than something I saw in the classified section, people roll their eyes and go "Oh, that site?" and that's the end of the conversation. The Internet board-warrior attitude that rears it's ugly head around here all to often serves only to increase the noise to signal ratio on this site. So sure, people can keep thinking they are doing a good thing by being a dick to somebody, but just keep in mind that for every highly experienced person with a wealth of knowledge to share that posts here, there are 10 out in the real world who wouldn't even bother typing the url for this site because of the attitudes you can find here. For every newbie that might get some help here, there are 5 who have been told don't even bother with the people at DZ.com. Unless of course, they are checking the classifieds for equipment. I think this is a sad state of affairs and truly a shame given the potential resource this site could and should be. But it isn't because some people don't realize you don't have to be an asshole to get people to listen to you. I was told not to even bother with this place. I was told it was more of a conspiracy forum than anything else. But there is some good people on here, you just have to weed out the dipshits. And there is good info on here, unfortunately you guys just have a bad rep, which can be hard to get back.

yeah I've that happen also. Won't use paypal or ebay anymore. Banks will do the same thing though, all the buyer has to do if he paid with a credit or debit card is dispute it. Had that happen to. Cash is really the only way not to get screwed, but who uses cash anymore.

hey everyone, does anybody know where Perry Thibedeau is skydiving at now? Cant really seem to find anything on him. Don't even know if he's still skydiving or in the area. I liked his kill line PC design and would like to get in touch with him to see if he still makes them. Plus I havent talked to him in over 10 years and would be nice to see how he's doing. I was one of those lazy loggers and now I'm kinda screwed if I want to get any kind of instructional rating. I could kick myself in the ass for not logging like I was supposed to. It was a lesson learned. There are a lot of lazy loggers out there and I believe I remember reading that Jan Meyer used to be a lazy logger as well, but things are different these days and wish I just would have logged like I was supposed to.

you have the same thing I did. if you have dislocated it 5 times there will be situations where you'll feel it move around in freefall wanting to dislocate. You probably have so much damage after 5 dislocations like I did theres not hardly anything left to keep everything tight. The choice is yours but you'll do better after getting it fixed.

Hi everyone I'm in W. Noth Carolina. Made my first jump in 87 and was active till 9 or 10 years ago. Currently looking for a home DZ to get current. My priorties have changed since my last jump. I would like to get into some video and camera stuff and hopefully a year or so down the road work on my tandem rating. I love working with new people fresh off student status. I dont have a rig anymore, so I'm looking and trying to decide on that too right now. I pretty much got it figured out, but not quite. I missed it and I'm pretting excited about getting current. But anyway, I'm glad to be on the forum
