The Havok was a wish come true for me - I could never find a fullface to fit my big head with my glasses on. The only thing I find a pain is the small piece that is ment to act as a nose cup. seems like its just a little short to catch the velcro where I want to place it.

the sillouhette is a sweet canopy. i have jumped a 190 many times, love its openings, love to pack it, and will most likely make it my replacement for my sabre 210 when i buy my next canopy. Like bilvon said, it will be more "zippy" than a navigator. just get a briefing from your instructors. play with it up high, find its flare, and have fun with it. BUNGE I don't hate them, I just like us better.

just my 2cents, a common frustration i see is a new packer trying to get the whole canopy in the bag at once. after you make the S folds, concentrate on one side of the packjob at a time. start with one side, fold it tight, grip as much of that side as possible, and pull the bag undernieth it. it dosn't have to be perfectly square yet, just stuffed all the way in the corner of the bag. transfer one of your knees on top of the side thats in the bag, and now clean up the other side of the canopy looks like its all over the place by now. (you can make it neat again, just roll all that fabric back into the pack job. when it looks neat, grip it on the side again, and again lift it slightly and pull other end of the bag around it. pull the gromets up to the stows and close the center of the bag, then clean up any blowouts, then the outer stowes. thats the best i can to to try to put into words what works for me when i teach a new packer. it will get easier and neater with paitence, and redundency. another 2-cents, there are many methods to packing, and no "only" way. but give each tip and trick a few tries before giving up on them. and when you do get one that works for you, dont be afraid to try another tip from a different packer. eventuly you will combine all the methods that work for you. i have a pc100 mounted on the side of a BH halfrack in a D-box. i just use the straps that came with the d-box and havnt had any problems in 200 jumps. BUNGE I don't hate them, I just like us better.

Was down ther just last weekend, here are some tips. by the lincon memerorial, there is an information booth, there you can pick up a map, for FREE, of all the national parks sites. the national archives has the origianl Declaration of Independance, constitution, and bill of rights. the vietnam memorial is only partly open, they are upgrading the lights. would suguest doing all the smithsonian stuff during the day, most of them close at 5. i found a neat little memorial to the signers of the declaration just off the middle of the mall. lots of walking, or do the $20 all day tourmobile. edit, Oh yeah, didn't get there yet, but there is another air and space building that you can take a shuttle to, and the spy museum isnt a park servce site, its located at F street around the 800's behind the archives.
