I don't know if this is a solution to your problem, but it may help. Don't forget when you go to put video from your cpu to your camera, you have to make sure your camera is recording....just like when you fire wire from one camera to another. Also, 6.5 and windows 2000 is what I'm using too...I had problems with it crashing all the time..so I uninstalled 6.5, then reinstalled it and everythings fine.
