Thanks guys

I did a search on this forum first, but there doesn't seem to be a specific thread, so... Appreciate opinions on the re-sale value of my rig: Mirage G3 (size M1), stainless steel (no hip rings). Collapsible pilot chute, hackey BOC. Spectre 150, original line set. PD143R CYPRES The whole system was bought new May 2000 and has approx 450 jumps on it (one subterminal reserve ride), new CYPRES batteries last June. Thanks for any replies Ivan "If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation." David Brent

Just as it seemed to be getting warmer here in the UK, another bleeding cold snap comes along.... But I don't care Because I'm in Florida. From tomorrow. Considering slider up jumps? You must be getting fitter dude.... "If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation." David Brent

QuoteI just completed testing this rig. It's a myth. The handgrenade which I packed into the rig (slider up) completely obliterated both rig and canopy and, incidentally but not inconsequentially, my sandwiches which I had forgotten to remove from the test site. I think that this demonstrates beyond doubt that the rig does not, in fact, live up to it's name.Quote Your experiment is commendable Mr Skin, but I believe it has missed the point. We have been informed by his most regal highness, our very own PM T. Blair, that the very presence of this rig is positive evidence of WMD and reason therefore to declare war on Iraq... Here's my current desktop. Me filming the team I was camera for last year (Usual Suspects).

Agreed, these things are all very very bad.... But how many other countries have equally appalling human rights records (and in some case WMD), but aren't sitting on huge oil fields? Call me cynical, but the current possibility of war is not due to the moral issues so freely used as public motivaters by the politicians. [replyI know its all opinion and we are not experts - but I believe that not taping the guinea pig increases the sensation - but drink heavily first!! Oh, I don't know McFly. I think you might be able to claim "expert" "If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation." David Brent

I did a search (maybe my search parameters were bad...) and found no reference to the jet that Perris are getting soon. Jack Gramley and Melanie Conatser (sp?) were at the BPA AGM and said that Perris have bought a DC9 (I think) - it arrives soon and should be ready to fly jumpers by the end of the year. That and the wind tunnel should make Perris a pretty strong contender when choosing a DZ.....

Wait a minute, why aren't you americans skydiving? Its Sunday afternoon over there....! "If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation." David Brent

"What was heaven like when you left?" or "Did it hurt?" "Did what hurt?" "When you fell from heaven?" Seriously though, do chat-up lines actually work? I would never start a conversation with one.... but maybe thats where I'm going wrong. For the record, the in guy in England (I think you are referring to) was Chris Gauge(sp?). The accident happened in Spain. "If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation." David Brent

[reply And Israel? 40% less murders than even Canada. Hard to claim that a US child is more exposed to outside violence, or feels more threat to his life, than an Israeli child. Small point to add to a very big subject, but I think due to the nature of the violence in Israel they have a much closer relationship to the value of life. The violence prevalant in many video games (I play and enjoy the games, I have to admit) is probably abhorrent if you witness violence in your every day life... You can also play an F a bit like a C, but up one fret. You use your index finger across both the B and high E strings, and your thumb wrapped round the neck to supply the low F on the base E string (maybe someone can explain that better.....) Having said that, you will need to master the 'normal' way of doing bar chords, and I'm afraid - as others have already said - it just takes practice. Onto bar chords on day 2 is not at all bad though! "If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation." David Brent
