Germans do it agian first flying saucers now this...
Merkur replied to MaalStar's topic in The Bonfire
Not completely. I have seen a TV report about it during the International Airshow in Berlin. There is a cargo department (on the above posted picture) which is located below the area where you can see the canopy. It is not big enough to carry the stuff on the HALO/HAHO system picture. In the German paratroops this is the setup for a jumper carrying a so called "heavy load", weighing up to 100 kg. M. vSCR No.94 Don't dream your life - live your dream! -

Sorry to hear about your injury. Are you still in Munich or have you returned to Sapin again? If you're still here, fell free to PM me if you need a "night-life tourist guide" for you an/or your teammates. I even can offer a native spanish speaker - if necessary. Fast healing! Merkur replied to kirrz's topic in Events & Places to Jump
Saarlouis-Dueren Another good source for DZ in Germany is: Skydiver.de where you can find a map of Germany with nearly all DZ including operational hours and contact details. M. vSCR No.94 Don't dream your life - live your dream! -

Who is going to Skydive San Marcos on July 07-09
Merkur replied to Merkur's topic in Events & Places to Jump
O.K. now it's official: I need a trip to the DZ on July 06. Any volunteers?? You might get a Shiner for free!! - Anyone??? M. Sorry folks - the shiner deal is gone as I have arranged the pickup! vSCR No.94 Don't dream your life - live your dream! -
You got the above mentioned Skydive colibri in AMPFING, which is east of Munich. ther is also a second DZ in LEUTKIRCH, which is an hour drive to the West. The also have a Porter. http://www.skydivenuggets.de They jump Tuesday to Sunday. From my personal opinion Ampfing is a bit more Tandem and freefly focused but both have a friendly staff. landing out + wind direction..how to tell?
Merkur replied to agent_lead's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
As an out landing normally shouldn't be to far from the dropzone, you can assume that you have the same wind direction as in your normal landing area. So try to remember things like: landing with the sun/the huge landmark (choose whatever you find at your DZ) on my left/right side. If there is a lake in viewing distance, you sometimes can tell from the surface. M. vSCR No.94 Don't dream your life - live your dream! -

Hey Larry, hope you will win again!!! BTW, do I see you at San Marcos, July 07-09????? M. vSCR No.94 Don't dream your life - live your dream! -
Wearing goggles, I once lost one. Having -4.0, the landing was kind of fun. Since i use a full face helmet, I never had any problems. As contacts work perfect for me, lasik isn't an option I am thinking about right now. M. vSCR No.94 Don't dream your life - live your dream!

Hey Jeff, impressive result. How did you do that? Did you just put the whole phrase into google? Andrea, what was the original riddle? M. vSCR No.94 Don't dream your life - live your dream!

0:9:0 1 fantastic 6 way and an really good 7 way with folks that has never jumped together. On the 6 way we stopped at 6000 feet in a big round having turned 9 points. I was so surprised at that point that I stopped keying and started to turn the star. M. vSCR No.94 Don't dream your life - live your dream!
