Reading these posts and all the encouragement people give each other is great. I'm in the process of seperating after 12 years together, 4 1/2 of them married. Oh well So beginning my AFF has to be put on hold for a bit. Have to concentrate on getting a roof for my bitty head...LOL. Keep saying those kind words everyone. Alot of us reading them that need em but just not saying much

This whole subject has been quite interesting. I've gotten nothing done today at work. But then again I've haven't gotten much done since my tandem and finding DZ.com..LOL. I'll say again, I've done my first tandem but it won't be the last. It was not a once in a lifetime experience for me, it was the beginning of a lifetime of skydiving experiences for me. And yes I'm obnoxious and tell anyone who will listen about it and even some who won't listen. All those poor people in Los Angeles at the hotel and airport and in my training class...LOL. And all the poor unsuspecting souls back here at home . I don't call myself a skydiver yet...but WATCH OUT, because here I come. I WILL be one of the few that continues on!
-
Well even though I'm not a "real skydiver" yet, I voted for you anyway, it's a great photo.

Ah ok....now I know See, I knew I'd learn all the good stuff here!

No, they attend to the ranks of 'skydiver journeyman' and onward. Duties include, but are not limited to, packing, fetching beer, and back massage ---------------------------------------------------- Hhmmm..nobody told me about that part Sassy

Well I did my first tandem last week. But definitely don't call my self a skydiver. I've been telling everyone I know all about it, the experience was just too incredible not to share. But I would not dream of telling someone who jumps regularly how to do anything...that's just dumb...LOL. I don't consider myself a member of the club here...yet. Had a friend tell me about this site so I could learn from everyone here. I do plan to continue with it. I MUST continue with it. It's the first thing I've ever done that just grabbed me like this. So can I still play here with you guys? Sassy

My lame contributions to Tuesday funnies ************************************** The other night I was invited out for a night with "the boys". I told my wife that I would be home by midnight, promise! Well, the hours passed and the beer was going down way too easy. At around 2:30 a.m, drunk as a skunk, I headed for home. Just as I got in the door, the cuckoo clock in the hall started up and cuckooed three times. Quickly, I realized she'd probably wake up, so I cuckooed another nine times. I was really proud of myself, having a quick witty solution, even when smashed, to escape a possible conflict. The next morning my wife asked me what time I got in, and I told her twelve o'clock. She didn't seem disturbed at all. Whew! Got away with that one! She then told me that we needed a new cuckoo clock, and I asked her why. With a serious look on her face she said: "Well, last night our clock cuckooed three times, then said 'oh shit,' cuckooed four more times, cleared its throat, cuckooed another three times, giggled, cuckooed twice more, and then farted." ************************************** A new employee is hired at the Tickle Me Elmo factory. The personnel manager explains her duties, and tells her to report to work promptly at 8:00 am. The next day at 8:45am, there's a knock at the personnel manager's door. The assembly line foreman comes in and starts ranting about this new employee. He says she's incredibly slow, and the whole line is backing up. The foreman takes the personnel manager down to the factory floor to show him the problem. Sure enough,Elmos are backed up all over the place. At the end of the line is the new employee. She has a roll of the material used for the Elmos and a big bag of marbles. They both watch as she cuts a little piece of fabric, wraps it around two marbles, and starts sewing the little package between Elmo's legs. The personnel manager starts laughing hysterically. After several minutes, he pulls himself together, walks over to the woman, and says, "I'm sorry, I guess you misunderstood me yesterday. Your job is to give Elmo two test tickles." Happy Tuesday Sassy

UGH....I DON'T do bugs of any kind, any size, any shape...NONE! I either find someone else or close my eyes and hope that when I open them the "thing" is gone Sassy -
Hate to put a damper on things but be sure to check on the conditions at the river some time next week. As of this morning the river was still closed to tubers because of the debris from the July floods. Sassy

It would be impossible for me to keep quiet for 6 weeks about this, don't know how you can do that. But then again I just can't keep quiet period. But I have to admit that I did chicken out and told my husband on the phone from the airport yesterday, rather than wait til I got home....LOL I think eveyone in my business seminar. at the hotel, at the airport and on the plane and anyone I've been on contact with since Monday has seen my pictures...LOL. Too bad I can't carry a VCR and TV around in my purse...LOL. Sassy

I just did my first tandem on Monday and I have motion sickness worse than anyone I know and did not have problem at all except for being a little queasy on the ground aftewards but I think that was just from all the excitement. It's just going take a long time for the bruises from the leg harnesses to fade....LOL. But that's ok, there will probably only be more. Sassy

I'm in San Antonio. And I won't even make any comments about Houston Decided to do my tandem while in California just to get away from everyone. Told them all when I got home and has that been fun!!!
-
After that experience I would gladly buy beer and then some, but wait I did drink something, just can't remember what

I just did my first tandem jump on Monday at Lake Elsinore and it was totally awesome! Everyone there was great and I was not nervous at all. It felt like the most natural thing in the world to be doing I'm in Texas but was in California on business and had to do this without telling anyone on the family..LOL. They would have locked me up before I could leave the house. I'll be stuck between whuffo hell and blue skies heaven for awhile until I can take this further. In the meantime I'm going to lurk around here and learn some more bad habits if that's ok with everyone here Sassy
