Mike and his crew are a great bunch. Took my son there for a tandem. Ryan shot our outside video and did a FANTASTIC job! Mark was his TI and couldn't have asked for a more friendly and professional guy. I got a few fun jumps including Mike's "inverted bi-plane" jump. It was a blast. They have a great hangar facility to pack and even crash in--just make sure to bring your own air mattress (sorry Kyle and Cory :D ). Hope to make it back again.

That's pretty much what I'm thinking about (the Hi-glide system). My experience has been finding good launch sites for paragliding, depending on what part of the country you live in. But skydiving has enough following that there is usually a DZ close by to utilize. Collapsing the wingtips really just makes it more like a regular main- totally kills the glide ratio.

I know a lot of skydivers are all about getting down as quick as possible. I actually was a parglider pilot prior to getting my A liccense and enjoy a VERY long canopy ride. Any one else out there into this concept? My long term aspiration would be to create a crossover rig- a harness that would be comfortable to be in for an hour or two and a main that would help this happen. Pull right out the door and do a real Cross Country (10-15 miles at least).

I'm a member of couchsurfing.org which is a place to find couches to crash worldwide and offer your couch to those looking. It seems like having a little section in DZ.com for this might be kind of cool. If you are passing through my town or just want to try a new spot to jump, you put out a request. The other idea would be for people willing to host a few jumpers for a Boogie coming to their DZ.
