  1. cypress is timed out and unuseable = no value raven may be worth $200 to right buyer Rig? if the photo showing rusty hardware is indicative of care, I would not use it only possible value from my perspective is to use it to aeroplane jump / test a BASE canopy
  2. and you typically get to WS from West to East over a pretty lake. Occasionally the marine layer reaches as far as Otay june & july and delays first load. I like consistent winds
  3. I attended the swooping world champs @ Eloy a few weeks ago. Their pond is impressive.
  4. from the fingers of the Cflex / Reflex designer / builder / manufacturer
  5. I just chatted with the current world champion WS pilot in performance category. I may be wrong but he is ~ 5'10 and 165 pounds???? definitely not abnormally tall or apey no matter what the actual values are
  6. just received my Omicron, had jumped an EPro. Only thing I can say right now is Omicron 140 seems to pack very slightly smaller than EPro 150.
  7. Heard a rumor there will be a love ya Kliff meet-up December 3rd 2022. Will post details if I know more.
  8. Ken, this you? If so, good seeing you @ Sawtooth Craig F
  9. i'm 5 - 6 minutes into it. Was surprised he did S/L progression in 1994. He did say a small DZ in Canada. First downsize Furry 220 F-111 to Jedei 120 ZP. Rock on. PS. the vast majority of these Exit Point podcasts are quite good.
  10. Sounds like you handled it well. I would have stalled the canopy and flown it backwards for a bit to see if it would clear, but YOU made the correct decisions based on YOUR equipment and experience. Bravo.
  11. Nor is it a long time survivability plan. Bk and I were just discussing unintentional down n dirty 3 days ago. INtentional is another thing altogether Be well.
  12. must be a good story(s) here sparked by a simple request.
  13. Zephyrhills Florida? Probably not cheap but should meet all other requirements.. The pond should be VERY FULL right now........................
  14. Thanks. What a beautiful day. Impressively fast start from my perspective. What viddy technology allows both front facing and POV? Thanks Craig
  15. Sounds like the way I pack for fixed object jumps I used to flat pack (with clamps), then turn that into a PRO on the floor. The more i jumped in the mountains, the more I had to do it over my shoulder, lay it down carefully, then clean up as you describe. The black bands fell out of favor 15+ years ago. Too much grip, too little ability to break (Fixed object specific use case)
  16. interesting first / only post. I think you need counting lessons these 23 Pegasi have SEVEN cells each. I think I'm #14. Circa early 90's?????????????????
  17. can't help. love the photo BLAST Handles RULE!
  18. money well spent if it's what ya want. money well saved if it's not what ya want.
  19. Thanks for keeping this thread alive. rjklein, what do you think of the solution they use instead of flap grommets? Anything else you've found that you love / hate?
  20. just MY rational that it's one more thing I'm being told to do. like most, I don't like being told what to do and for years I avoided DZs that mandated AADs. As an aside I once asked a DZ owner in So Cal if he was going to mandate AAD's. He laughed and said, "Craig if you bounce, I'm just going to fire up the front end loader and fill in the hole." That was several years ago. Then I started doing a bit of wingsuiting with others = sketchy. My and their inexperience led to several near collisions. I bought an AAD for the WS rig. I have no intentions of buying one for the CReW rig.................... yet. Be well.
  21. Good reply Roland and thanks for the Skyderby linky, but to quote "Maverick" in the new Top Gun movie, "it all depends on the pilot in the box (suit)".
