    I operate a DZ within the CrossKeys market and it has become an extremely competitive market with unethical practices everywhere thanks to the people of ASC and skyride. They are the inventors of tandem skydiving's hidden fees, false claims and bogus websites. CrossKeys's volume, overhead, and competitive nature have led them down the road of un-ethics with this "gear rental" thing. It is for sure a step down and away from their top notch reputation as a premier DZ and school. At the end of the day, I am proud to say that I maintain a steady business from quality performance with my staff and honest marketing from location and reputation. It is sad that others feel they need to deceive to earn a bigger slice of the pie.

    camera rocks. dont know much about res numbers or tech data, but my 330 videos look far superior to my co-videoographer's PC9 vids with similar flying styles and skills. I use a Century Optics lens (about $230) but is a superior piece of glass while he uses a Kinky lens. this camera and lens are by far the best I have ever used in my 10 years as a commercial freefall camera guy. buy it we'll have to see about longevity!

    you guys can check some pics on our web site, www.skydiveoc.com for some hand cam action. pc 330 can capture 2mp stills and print out nice on the epson 2200 on 4x6. We can now sell v&s! i think all these guys against this system are paranoid camera flyers who need to get their tandem ratings! just kidding. we sell an ultimate package...hand cam and outside flyer for only $30 more.     you see buzz, that was back using mantas. we are much safer today thanks to crossed braced canopies. They started out with a large PD canopy but plan on the Velocity 84 to improve the safety aspect. Also, they plan on Vodka instead of beer. The cops gave them a hard time when they we're flying and holding beer bottles.

    is this common? i was just at a dz where the s&ta charged a skydiver $25 to sign his license prof card and then told him that if he went through the dz it would cost $50. for one license. anyone ever heard of this? josh
