  1. What is your reason for that? does that include touch screen laptop? My ultrabook ( ASUS S500CA-CJ010H ) is bottom end ultra book, but has the touch screen and 8 seems all good to me and not so difficult so far. I have only had it 2 weeks though. The price has actually gone up by $70 since I bought it of the same place in the link above. still cheap compared to what yo could get a year ago. I am no expert by any stretch of the imagination, which actually says something in this instance, lol. The one thing that bugs me about 8, probably due to my ignorance, is that the only way I can get to 'computer' or what used to be 'my computer' in XP is to go through internet explorer, then click the file icon on the task bar. Is there a simpler way that that?
  2. http://rt.com/news/china-fastest-supercomputer-milkyway2-379/ Wowee... a Petaflop... you learn something every day.
  3. I agree. I believe the expensive price tag on the initial sales will be recouping R&D, per unit sold, becuase they can get away with it for now while they are novel. In the long term I see the price coming down significantly. I like the concept of the Volt's running gear the most out of any electric vehicle setup i have seen, though I am not an expert on them. A plug in vehicle that you drive on electricity the whole time, if you stay within a range that is over 100 KM, that has a gas generator that allows you to travel indefinitely... that is cool. Is there any other vehicles on the market like that available other than the Volt? A Tesla or a Leaf will just run out of energy on a long haul, then you will have to wait for a recharge before moving on... That sux.
  4. This subject is definitely debatable. The constitution has been undermined by questionable legislation and the only arguments for the legality of the Iraq war, are based on these questionable changes to legislation. If the constitution was upheld as it is supposed to be, there would be no justification for the invasion.
  5. I am saying there was no declaration of war, that is it. If you are going to call me full of shit. Then explain.
  6. Could that be an evidence based argument? Those seem quite rare around here.
  7. Nope, you gave me an example of a general in charge of a missile defence program.. I am talking about the Iraq war, Manning was in Iraq. Regardless of what dodgy legislation has been passed that makes the invasion somehow legitimate, there was still not declaration of war. That is unconstitutional
  8. My touch screen works great and it was really inexpensive, these will only get better and even less expensive. I still use the keys and the touch pad for 95% of my actions. It is a laptop. I just use the swipe to change pages and scroll through information. If I want to use it like usual and never touch the screen, I still can. People simply hate change as it takes them from their comfort zone... All interfaces will be like this very soon..
  9. ever tried using google? Or the link I posted directly above the quote? LOL, your question was non specific. The Military is compartmentalized, you might not know that you are a part of an illegal action. Manning had the information that showed him he was. Meanwhile in turkey there are some very strange cats... Get of your high horse. there is nothing moral nor honorable about the escalation of the industrial military complex. You were warned about it by one of the very last presidents your could trust. The Iraq war is a travesty. please watch this and consider your definition of honor. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8y06NSBBRtY
  10. This thread is funny, I have a comrade that recently taught me about bit-coin. He started buying them in February and chucked a few grand at them each month for a while.. At the peak of the 'bubble' his $20k investment was worth over $80k... obviously he missed out on the $80k but he has since taken his $20k back out and still has $15k worth. Not a bad investment if you ask me... $15 k for free (well a little bit of work) in only 3 months. I have one for now just for shits and giggles... might get one each pay and see how it goes over the next year.
  11. I am just gettng used to windows 8. I cannot imagine it without touch screen, but I cannot imagine many new machines being sold without touch screen in about a years time either. My I3 Ultrabook was less than $650 with this OS on it it has touch screen and 4gb ram and .5 TB. Unlearning old habits is the hardest part, which is the problem the old farts that whine about it are having. Has been super stable so far.
  12. There is not question whether he broke the law, the question is whether it was necessary or not.
  13. A difficult question to answer, I cannot answer that question without being in the situation. I would have access for a reason, that reason would determine my actions.
  14. That is not the case, and if you follow an order that you know is unconstitutional then you are also breaking he law. "I was just following orders", does not hold up in court. Here is some good information on this subject. http://constitution.org/mil/mil_attn.htm
  15. Oh the back door? That gave the president the authority to bypass congress and a declaration of war. There was no threat from Iraq, and in using that resolution in that case the President misused his authority and committed war crimes. It is clear to all with any sort of common sense that the threat was 'made up', this leaves us in a position where much of the people are literally 'turning a blind eye' to war crimes they are all aware of and allowing them to continue. There was still no declaration of war. Here is Ron Paul explaining how stupid it all is back in October 2002... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8TZ5cpaPlf4
  16. Haha, I am not upset, I expect nothing less from an online forum. Life is not fair, SC is full of self righteous dickheads that would not have the gumption to be so outspoken in real life and define god? Manning will not get a fair trial. He is being used as a warning to all others that might want to blow the whistle.
  17. So nobody has suggested the invasions we are engaged in are illegal to the Inspector General? War requires congressional approval and a declaration of war. There has not been one of those this century has there?
  18. That is one of many examples of the poor judgement of Christians. You can try to palm it off as metaphor all you like. The bible is all bull crap and if one believes it, one is an idiot, In my opinion that is... Nice fables but complete bullshit. One should judge ones self, before one judges their peers. Being honest with yourself would be a good start. LOL
  19. In my opinion anyone that believes in talking snakes has no right judging others.
  20. No, one wrong (corrupted military) makes the right (reporting wrongdoings to ones superior) impossible. The hundreds of thousands of documents are dirt for the savvy to work with to bring the criminal dictators to justice. The oligarchs are dead scared, and there is plenty of dirt on them, but the foolish masses decide to put corruption in the too hard basket (that's just tin foil hat conspiracy stuff, the government are for the people... etc.). He posted that information to expose the corruption, no other reason! Do you think wiki-leaks is purely an 'attention seeking'program?
  21. Can you provide evidence that this protocol has actually help any situation, ever?
  22. Colony collapse is a phenomenon. Mites are a huge problem but colony collapse disorder is still being studied... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colony_collapse_disorder It is being discovered that Monanto products among other companies', are contributing to the problem or even causing it entirely. What does Monsanto do? Purchase the research company that discovered this... http://www.huffingtonpost.com/richard-schiffman/the-fox-monsanto-buys-the_b_1470878.html
  23. There is nothing honorable about upholding a lie... Especially knowingly and willingly...
  24. Both invasions sir. A declaration of war was not signed for either. There is nothing honorable about being a pawn for the control of natural resources. These wars are unconstitutional and war crimes have been committed. Don't ignore that.
  25. Did you ever see a declaration of war for Iraq? Do you think the war in Iraq was justified, legal or ethical? For crying out loud man! How stupid can people actually be?
