Anyone know what happened to Amy Ativisimo? she was a packer at SDC, her work email and personal phone got cut off. I was a good friend. It's good to be the pilot.

Very cool- As an RC pilot for 12 years-- all I can say is GOD DAMB-- that is one hell of a pilot! Cya Chris It's good to be the pilot.

Anyone know how the doors are getting approved (if at all)? Via STC or field approvals? Chris It's good to be the pilot.

Thanks for all the info! Chris It's good to be the pilot.

Just for the record, I am familiar with skydiving ops, bieng a pilot with over 5000 hoursand a ATP, as well as 2500 hours flying jumpers- I am also an A&P IA, as well as a jumper with over 500 jumps (D24286). Trying to help my employer who operates Caravans to expand the bussiness and fly jumpers. Hey-- it helps us all if we have more jump planes. Chris It's good to be the pilot.

Thanks bob-- I appreciate the info It's good to be the pilot.

Thanks for the info, my biggest problem is trying to make it legal for my employer. I have built and installed doors in the past, for twin otters and 182's, but cant find any information for a 208 caravan. My current employer which operates 6 caravans wants to turn one or two into weekend jump ships. Chris It's good to be the pilot.

Looking for a C208 jump door or plans to one. Any information will help. It's good to be the pilot.

Who else is stuck at home/work and not jumping?
dzbum replied to freeflygoddess's topic in The Bonfire
Was at the DZ today with beautiful blue skies, moderate winds, rig ready to go- but was on call, so no jumping- it sucks! Did get to load the plane a few times though. Took some pics too- Chris It's good to be the pilot. -
How was your experience taking the rig as carry on
dzbum replied to rendezvous's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Never had a problem. Have flown commercialy with my rig as carry on 6 times round trip since Sept. 11. Flown from chicago to Boston/logan, Green bay to Dallas, Chicago to Portland, and a few others. They take an extra look at the Xray machine but thats it. Chris It's good to be the pilot. -
New Skydiver's Question...About Reserve Chute
dzbum replied to Kramer's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
521:3 Old 7 cells dont always open First pro pack was a bit to messy Sloppy packing can rip a center cell out of a Crossfire Cut aways are fun! Chris It's good to be the pilot. -
Sounds like a great idea!!! Right until the point where the plane starts falling back down again- and your under it! Not to mention the risk of structural damage and possible engine damage. If your pilot/DZO is smart- they will never allow it. Want an e-ticket ride? BASE jump. Chris It's good to be the pilot.

I just took a canopy control course today. I have to say I learned a hell of alot- mostly I realized how little I do know and how much I have to learn. Thank you Scott Miller form PD. How about you? Have you taken a course and what did you get out of it? Chris AKA GoNzO It's good to be the pilot.
