any rigger can hook you up.. Look at the current Javs right now and just mimic the way that they have done there standard protection.. I have seen many riggs modified...... I had an old infinity like yours and when I need some work on it the factory said I was out of luck that there was nothing they could do...

When is the right time to start sit flying???
cheneyneel replied to jasonRose's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Funny thing about freeflying.. You have to do it all the time to gain a level where you dont have to jump as much to be a good freeflyer.. Does that make sense. A lot of flat flyers dont want to freefly becasue they have to pay their dues again at something. People make 200 jumps on their belly with a group and do so very well they dont want to go jump a two way with seperation. freelying you have to jump all weekend as a freeflyer and maybe the end of the day belly way. freeflying is a commitment if you want to do formations(feet or head) but that is where the shit happens too......SOOOOOOOO Start freeflying now!!!!! it will be harder and harder the longer you wait............. -
DZ near Eglin Air Force Base, Florida?
cheneyneel replied to dmetz's topic in Events & Places to Jump
the only requirements for beech jumps is DONT land in the water..... You have heard about the shark attacks right............. but really just a B License for the jumps and your own ride back from the beech........... -
yea when people talk of drag they mostly are talking of flying on their heads.. on your feet it is whole different ball game....

There are two boogies that are a must not miss here in the States: one is the Halloween Boogie in Atlanta and the other is SUmmerfest at Skydive Chicago... Man they have four big projection screens just for us to watch videos of our jumps on.. they have full score rigging and gear shops that will do what you need right then.. they have filet of Salmon for lunch or assorted other 100 items on the menu. They even have these big freaking cushion things that you sit on that make just being there worth every expense you made to get there.... You will not be dissapointed if you go to Skydive Chicago.......

SKydive CHicago is the Most Impresive Dropzone you will ever go to..by far.. I say this with experience because I have been to around twenty-five here in the states and about a dozen of Europe's biggest. There are some places bigger and with more aircraft but DAMN you will be convinvced too once you step onto the airport, jump, eat the food, swoop the pond, and watch the big screen.. Being a low time jumper this is the perfect place to go and jump for two weeks straight. the weather can rain because it is in the midwest but temp will be nice a little on the warm side sometimes though..

Does any one have Patterns For Free Fly Pants??
cheneyneel replied to jasonRose's topic in Gear and Rigging
Man making/sewing pants are very easy.. just make all the seams flush or hide them with stripes and use binding tape ontop of the inside seams and bam you got something that is not going to give.... I would suggest that you use the EXACT same types of materials that suit comapnies use then people will never know that you made them yourself/or girlfriend.... -
Demo jump cancelled because of a vengeful jumper
cheneyneel replied to BillyVance's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I dont understand???? WHy not ditch the woman and make the jumps yourself anyways.. Why again does she have to be apart of anything???? is she sleeping with the event organizer or something.. shit man it sounds more like you are crying.. why not be vengeful yourself. its not like you are beating someone up or anything..call the event guy up for gods sake man ... -
Call American Skydiving Systems.. They are the same company.. Look at the add in Paracutists.. that phone number will give you mikes direct cell number.....
-
hey Piisfish... Isnt there a French Forum like this?? I need some more French Forums on skydiving or general aviation (also French Canadian) for a project I am working on.. Can you help me with a web address??..

No, the boogieman suits are a whole different company given by somone from an earlier post.and they all are expensive no matter what company you choose.. Next weekend is when I am forced to move because I have been having problems getting a truck to move my shit and I have to actaully walk for graduation to make family happy.. but next weekend is when I am fully done with this sorry college town.. Can I say I hate college.. all those people who loved their college days, I wish I could have that..because mine sucksbig royalmethane dingleberries.....I'll see you soon though....
-
man those Boogieman suits look bad ass.. Did anyone else look at their stuff.
-
man they have to be out going!!! they have to be a people person.. they need to be able to keep people on the ground in the air and loving what they are doing.. I hate bad ass freeflyers that cannot hold 2 sentences together infront of more than one person.. then they are load organizers.. I like organizers to be full of energy so that they keep everyone jumping all day.. because at the end of the day it doesnt matter how good the jumps go it is that the mid level guys and girls get to jump alot and feel that they are doing the coolest shit around with a person who makes them feel cool.... skill on a mass level is getting too good for a good organizer just to be a good flyer and thats it!!!.. If I am at a boogie and the organizer sucks as far as personality I will just do my thing with who I can organize myself with..and not pay attention to the organizer because I will feel like I am hearding turtles to get them to jump.. the more experienced people can organize themselves, if you cant then they are not that experienced so they fall into the mid level make them jump focus group..
-
yea I tried the tight slim fit.. it works but damn I am 230lbs out of the door.. I have to fly my ass off with that suit. needless to say I went back to a little drag.. the jumps are supposed to be relaxing for me.. I am glad all you little guys are going to fast suits it makes my day easier.. as far as style... having some baggy and a little sagg is much more cooler than black, green and purple spandex freefly suits................ Ian my bru I will see you in Atlanta in two weeks for I will be there for good in Woodstock, GA..
-
yea but you are leaving out how fast you are going (cvfd1399) Anvil man.... ANother thing that might help is to tighten the chest strap. One of my other friends had the same problem with his wings but it was mainly because the shoulder harness kept moving and falling over the shoulder creating a situation that allowed for the tuck tabs to come open in a postition where they are not made for... that might not be the case here but weeding out possibiblites is the only thing you can do..besides sending it back... One thing I do know is that they will hook you up quickly if something is wrong with the rig... so dont be afraid to send it back if things dont improve...

I have played high levels of rugby inthe south for about 10 years now so I know what you are going to through... All I have to ask is ...in five years which one are you going to be able to do, the softball or the skydiving? If you cant play softball in five years then skip the skydiving because you can do it when you are 60+.. if you will still be playing softball at a high level in five years then still go because you sill regret it.. basically you will not be able to play competitive softball all your life but you will be able to skydive all your life....

Man I have brought my rig on two different trips to Europe.. I will never bring it again unless I am planning a specific event like the Espace boogie or some other major boogie... it is just not worth it, you pay way too much money for jumps and then if you have to sit on the ground because of weather or something then you are just wasting time in Europe with so many other things that you could be doing.. Plus the places I jumped (the bigger DZs) might have been big but they dont seem to have the hard ass line of jumping your ass off.. most that I have visited would take their time getting up in the morining and then shut the whole DZ down for like 2 hours for lunch and drink wine and beer.. take a nap then jump for only a couple of hours in the after noon... I love the life style of most european countries but not when I want to jump.... it seems to have always been dissapointing to me.. if you have a specific event then yes bring it and go jump, but if you are just doing a little more than back packing around then NO dont bring it.. I will never again... I also had gear stolen from me on my last trip there....what are you going to do?huh...

Velocity's slider and RWS Risers
cheneyneel replied to cheneyneel's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
I think that I was just being overly cautious because the problem dissapeared after I made the post here...... I was just picking on you guys.. I just got my brand new Micron (my 3rd) the other day and the first couple of jumps on the new risers made it a little bit tight but by the end of the day it was cool...... -

Tracking Grip in intermediate FF nationals speed
cheneyneel replied to manifestRyan's topic in Freeflying
think about a little.. you can do everything in a track that you can basically do on your head... you can take grips in front of you just like on your head or feet.. remember to track and take grips doesnt mean that you have to be laid out as fast as you can go as we normally do on track dives..... just apply basic relativity/gravity rules and you can do multi point and multi directional jumps.. it requires flying your ass off, hence being the in nationals routine.. and yes I fo believe that angled flight counts as a track position.. -
Z-hills and Titusville are going to be the only ones really flying load after load.. They have large local jumpers in the area.. But it all kind of depends on where you will be staying.. If you are in south Florida you might not get a lot of jumping but around the orlando area you will.. plan on other activities just incase rain begins and doesnt stop.. dont put all your time in to making jumps because you might find yourself sitting around alot if you are not at a busy DZ for that time... right around then is when the DZs start to slow down...

Where, in Europe, *other* than Empuriabrava?
cheneyneel replied to jmidgley's topic in Events & Places to Jump
Lapalisse is really cool. I spent some time there.. I also went to the DZ just north of Paris where the Atmonauti crew are based out of but I cant remember what the name of it is right now.. But Lapalisse showed me a lot of love there and I think that you should go there.....
