AD coaching & test @ Panama City Beach Swoop Fest?
cheneyneel replied to diveout's topic in Freeflying
Well since the boggie is a week long I believe.28th to the 4th.. I know that Dave Brown will be competing that week.. I bet if you call him at the Freefly training Center and talk him into bringing a ball he might administer the test..(maybe) I am not sure if Swanson will be there but if you really want to take it over the beech boogie you might have to call him personally and offer him some sort of compensation along with the standard fee.. Dave is cool like that, and he (Might) do it... -
RW, freeflying, etc etc...AH!!!

Just find people that you like hanging with and jump with them.. Do what ever they are doing.. Nothing is worth doing if you cant have fun with your homez doing it.. So sit back, relax, and jump with your friends. There is nothing better.. -
Man get a jump suit.. If you can fly with a mile of drag on your arms then you can fly with or without anything.. If you look at the all the freefly teams out there no matter their size/skill they all wear suits.. Get yourself a Freefly suit.. Get one used off of the classifieds or something... FLying your body is one thing but I have flown with people that cant fly with a jump suit but can fly without.. If you learn with a jump suit you are still learning to fly with your body.. That is the truth.. Fly with a suit... I am 235lbs out of the door at 6'2. so I know how you feel on the fall rate issue.. But all I can tell you is jump.. The skill will come to slowdown.. Funny it seems how the more skill and practice you aqquire the slower you will be able to fly.. YOu will eventually have more of a range of flight speeds in both vertical and inverted positions than smaller people, in the future they will start to have problems with..

I think that it is crazy. There is no way I would die my parachute no matter how ugly it is..

My suggestion from someone who used to jump a Falcon for my first 30 jumps is to go with a zero-P canopy. I found myself not being able to grow at all with the Falcon and totally restricted the art of flying in traffic because I was pretty much at the mercy of a canopy that didnt respond really at all in any type of weather conditions. I found that the Zero-p canopies have better foward movement that gives you more control.. But still with the safety needed with be a beginer!! I was weighing about 220 out of the door on the Falcon 215 and then I went to a 170 Sabre and my skill was then allowed to improve without sacrificing safety.. The key was not sacrificing safety!! and speaking with people on the ground before you jump about traffic. Traffic alot of the times is what makes a beginning novice do the wrong things.. Be careful my friend and learn now!!

To be real people cant really be so nieve to think that the men in charge are really going to let reporters give away vital information that will lead their troops into death and depleat their infantry.. That is just stupid on the military's part and politicians if they let that happen.. The news they deliver might not be tainted but it is thuroughly viewed before broadcasting..

generally the nine foot bridle is used for bird man suits I believe... I would really like to hear of the advantages of the longer bridle.. Common sense tells me that there is logic to having a longer bridle..

Yea I own and have owned Vector Microns for a while now and I think that I am going to buy a Wings next winter to replace what I have.. Look+price+functionality+comfort+quality=a rig you cant beat anywhere
-
yea but that $1700 is after their dealer discount.Right?? List price from the factory is still higher.. You will get 25% to 35% off of Attairs products from their dealers..Right? I have always been told that is how it works...
-
completely re-dye the whole suit!! and sell it.. Thats what I would do.. maybe your friend's washer's cold water thingy is broken. It happend to me once but not with a jumpsuit.. But man that sucks...
-
I know one guy who jumps a Jonathan.. His name is Thumper and it is not because he can move is leg to a beat really fast.. 'It was the way he sounded when he always hits the ground.. Get anohter canopy.. Use yours for a tent or something. I dont think there is much of a market to sell it to..

Man is this thread really happening or what!!?!

through having a number of different jump suits I find so much easier and QUICKER just to use a local taylor.. I am sure that the suit company can help you but then you have to ship it, let them do it and then have it shipped back.. Go to a taylor and they will have it next day or day after for like 10$ for what your talking about and just as neat as anyone from the suit company..

Emerald Coast has gone through a number of staff changes in te past year or two.. I normally jump at Gold Coast becasue it is closer but when there are Beach Googies there it is Da' Bomb.. I am serious!! Also you can jump the beach there any time you want when the DZ is running.. Man if you have a condo there you can even spot to your condo and land at you back door, grab a beer and your home.. There is nothing like beach jumping...nothing!!

What's with backtracking away from formations??
cheneyneel replied to blueshrew's topic in Freeflying
Also if you want to do any big-ways with any of the big boys and girls that is how they want it done.. When you dirt dive a 15 way it becomes very apparent why it is important.. It is also so important that the rest of the load that is on the plane with you know exactly what is going on too.. -
skydive america palm beach is their dealer here in the states.. if you have any questions I would CALL them and see what is up.. I assume that since they are their dealer that you can order through them as well

When not jumping...what do you do?
cheneyneel replied to Ron's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
When not jumping? Play rugby!!! Keeps you adrenaline level high, keeps your reactions quick under pressure and hell its fun.. I try to make 4 to 5 hundred jumps a year but rugby is the only thing that takes me away from skydiving even on the most beautiful of days... -
YOu know everyone says it is not true (oxygen forced into your system by freefall) but I have had a few science prof. here at my university say that it is a likely effect but that the time of freefall is to short to know and to go higher you have to have breathing help and more weather resistant materials to get to altitude.. So some of my teachers with PhD's say it is a very reasonable assumption that it does happen.. But more likely allows you to hold your breath for a long period of time rather than breath out through the pores which is where the difficulty come in. wether you want to accept that opinon by them I as a skydiver and a student tend to believe them but,, without conclusive evidence!... Is there any evidence for this action..

St. Marteen(French and Dutch Island) has a DZ at municipal airport.. It was started about 6 or 7 years ago.. They are hard to reach though.. SOmetimes only jump seasonially....

Ah,Ah??? Putting a whole in a slider? I have never heard of that mate.. I dont know if I would tear up something that may be trade value for another smaller slider.. Then if it dosent work you have to buy another slider anyways. There might be some kind of old school trick to doing it but my logic wouldnt let me do it....
-
I owned a crossfire for a while and what I did to make it open quicker was first to -get a smaller slider. -turn the slider gromets inward when X-ing it. -pulling the slider almost all the way towards the tail. -leaving the nose exposed but not enough for a line over.. -dont roll the tail -a bigger pilot chute It took me a little while to adjust it to where I could get on heading openings again but I worked it out and it opened quicker but if I let a packer pack it it was back to slow ones. I had to pack it myself to get the right openings(but I cant ever afford a packer anyways)

-
the people that liked the DC before she said what she said and now wont listen to their music never really like the music anyways.. They are just followers on a band wagon and cant think for themselves.... I dont really listen to them but what ever their political views are are not going to affect my choice to listen to them if they play good music..
-
it takes more battery power to turn it off than it does letting it turn off by itself... Something to think about...
