  2. Check out these pics of the recent storm here in Edmonton. They should cool you off some. http://www.olayouth.ca/storm.html 'Shell 'Shell
  3. Have to see how my knee's fairing ... I tripped over an errant cat. 'Shell 'Shell
  4. WHAT VIDEO????? THEY HAVE VIDEO??? I'm so embarrassed ... 'Shell 'Shell
  5. Yeah ... there's a few ... 'Shell 'Shell
  6. I haven't camped there (only driven through) but all the campsites look pretty nice. Ask the folks at the gate when you go into the park where they recommend staying (I think the park fee is $20 but I could be wrong). And have fun ... and watch out for bears (then again, they're probably safer than the locals you'll run into at the Prairie). 'Shell 'Shell
  7. Check out their website at http://www.nps.gov/glac/ for info. There's lots of campsites to stay at but if you're taking a trailer, you won't be able to travel through into the park with it. They have restrictions on vehicle lengths going up to Logan's Pass on the Going to the Sun Road (which is a BEAUTIFUL trip!). EDITED TO ADD - if you click on the campground map at http://www.nps.gov/glac/activities/camping.htm, Apgar is where you'd enter to get to the Going to the Sun Road and the other end of it is at St. Mary. Enjoy! 'Shell 'Shell
  8. But it helps to keep the beer cold ... CYA in 11 sleeps! 'Shell 'Shell
  9. "Cocks and cracks...your attention please. Hoyle is back from retirement." I don't recall saying anything like that ... I said I would be there ... with my boobies ... that's all. Remember, I'm the shy quiet one in Camp Canada. 'Shell 'Shell
  10. We have a saying very much like that ... if you don't like the weather in Alberta, wait 10 minutes. We've had snow in every month EXCEPT July ... and there was one year that we had 89 days between snowfalls (it snowed in May and again in August - 1997 I think). 'Shell
  11. Yes, it's a terrible time ... as Billvon once said ... The weather's terrible The skydive's suck The beer's warm And there's too many damn Canadians My boobies are driving ... I'll be there ... 'Shell 'Shell
  12. We get thunderstorms and hail but not normally that much all at once. The storm sewers just couldn't handle it. 'Shell
  13. As far as I know, the only casualty was the roof on West Edmonton Mall ... apparently tens of millions of $$ in damage there. Lots of flooding elsewhere in the city too. We were lucky -- we only caught the edge of it and the hail was only pea sized. Apparently elsewhere, it was golf ball size. 'Shell
  14. And some more 'Shell
  15. You think your weather is bad ... here's the aftermath of a rain/hail storm that hit Edmonton yesterday afternoon. Dropped about 150mm of rain in about 2 hours. This is the Whitemud Freeway, a main artery that connects the north west end of the city to the south east end. 'Shell 'Shell
  16. Orange hammer here too ... 'Shell 'Shell
  17. Riiiiigght ... sorry ... must up my meds ... "There is no Montana .... there is no Lost Pra ... er ... Montana ... 'Shell 'Shell
  18. And I fixed it for you. That's Montana, not Wyoming ... 'Shell 'Shell
  19. Where I come from, we call it "mix" ... 'Shell 'Shell
  20. The preview that they showed could have been from either Amazing Race 3 or 4 ... they did tandems in one of those shows but I can't remember which one. They were done in Mexico out of Skydive AZ's Otter (with Marc Hogue as one of the TM's ... we sure laughed when we saw him!). Then again, maybe they're making them do it on this show too. Guess we'll have to wait and see! 'Shell 'Shell
  21. I LOVE this show! By far the best reality one out there. The BigBrother chick annoys the hell outta me and the midget and her cousin are pretty whiney. I'm rooting for Kim and Chip or Jim and Marsha (pretty nasty knee injury!). But that could change ... 'Shell 'Shell
  22. Fred, you're the BEST! See ya soon! 'Shell 'Shell
  23. Take a tip from this cat ... 'Shell 'Shell
  24. Make sure you give Fred and Lennie a big THANK YOU for taking care of us! I'm sure they'd accept some ice cold Lang! 'Shell - see ya there in 29 sleeps 'Shell
