Homicides have declined by 50% over the last 20 years. Both in states with tough laws, and also in states with lax laws. So it's kinda hard to say that tough laws are effective in reducing homicide. They aren't. The two highest homicide rates in the US? Chicago and D.C. Both with some of the toughest gun laws in the nation. Ineffective. But such laws ARE very effective in making liberals feel really good about controlling the lives of others they don't like.

Don't pay any attention to the good-ole-boy club here, they're just a bunch of old farts that think they own the place, and have a right to treat everyone rudely. Fortunately, most actual skydivers are quite friendly. How about using a regular log book, but have a custom leather cover made for it, with your name, or "skydive" stamped into the leather?

So what's your objection?
