Count me in! It's supposed to be in the sixties tomorrow so combined with the "$15 to 15,000' by 8 a.m." deal where you also get $1 off the rest of your jumps for the day it sounds great!
nene-my 109 has the same error code and focusing problems. This is the 5th instance I've heard of 109's with this and now it's my turn...grrrrrrr. Maybe it's not that great a camera for freefall? Since I have no insurance on it maybe the money is better spent on an PC1000....hmmm
A videographer at our dz had the same error on his 109 and sent it to a Sony repair center. They wouldn't tell him what was wrong just that they were charging his credit card $285.
Last weekend it showed up on my 109 but when I got home the error message was gone???? Now I'm worried it will mess up on a customer's vid...grrr.....
Just a note to relate my experience...I actually had dropped my almost new Digitude while getting into my truck. The timing was perfect and it was crushed in the door. I sent it back to them expecting to have to pay for a new replacement or at least a substantial repair fee. The amazing thing is they sent me a brand new one no charge!
Consequently I am forever a fan and tell my fellow jumpers whenever I get the chance.
Do many people shoot video-for-hire with vertically mounted still cameras as shown on Rim's website? Seems like it would be a very good setup in order to keep things compact on your helmet but maybe not quite optimal for picture results....thoughts?
Just wanted to share a positive about getting used to rear risers. I regularly use them when landing but finish with toggles.
Busy day at the DZ so I had a relatively newbie packer pack for me. After deploying my Velocity after an AFF jump I was slammed so hard I found myself with broken steering lines and a damaged slider. After doing steerabilty and flaring practices I elected to land with rear risers and it came off uneventfully.
(changed back to my regular packer immediately!)
