six minutes in the tunnel kicked my ass!
rjackson replied to outofit's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I did a tunnel camp a couple of weeks ago. After 60 minutes over two days I couldn't move my arms. Learned a lot and cant wait to go back --------------------------------------------- Randy -

Thats going to a vendor. I was under the impression that you had to ship firearms via licensed firearms dealers. (i.e. across state lines) Did the rules change or am I going on the wrong assumption. --------------------------------------------- Randy

Wind tunnel--Las Vegas or Orlando
rjackson replied to k2everest's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Vegas is a waste of time and money. SkyVenture is great. You dont have to spend alot of money to get good results. Even if you dont get formal coaching just tell the staff what you want to work on and they'll help you out. The only bummer is Orlando is very busy with all of the teams, camps and people buying large blocks of time. Make sure you get a reservation early. --------------------------------------------- Randy -
Emeril is number one with Alton Brown a close second. Both great sources of evil food -- love it --------------------------------------------- Randy

With the expected success that Hooters is going to have in applying its name to an airline, several other companies might consider starting their own brands. Microsoft Motto: "Where do you want to go today?" Cons: * It will be cost-prohibitive to change to another carrier. * At random times during the flight, flight attendants will just stop working. The only way to get anything done will be to land the plane, shut everything off and start again. * On the routes it flies, it will be the only airline to choose from, and you will be required to use Microsoft taxis to get to the airport. * Between the time you purchase the ticket and the time of the flight, there will have been five upgrades/changes to the service, and each time you will be required to update your ticket. --------------------------------------------- Randy

If you dont have alot of money get a inexspensive one with a "briggs" engine. If you have a few extra bucks get a Honda. I love mine, starts on the first pull almost every time. --------------------------------------------- Randy

I went to my 20th two years ago and it was good fun. I didn't hang with the hip crowd in high school but it was fun to see how many people changed. That was worth the price its self. The ten year wasn't long enough to see alot of changes in people. --------------------------------------------- Randy

Its stupid law suits like this that remind me why I left California. --------------------------------------------- Randy

I'll add to the other comments. When I was in your position I really lucked out and found a load organizer (LO) that was willing to work with me. I started to do 2 and 3 ways for a while. The nice thing in this situation was I was getting some informal coaching, the LO kept an eye on me to make sure I was staying safe. The biggest thing was I was able to meet other jumpers and to make friends. --------------------------------------------- Randy

Hang in there. My dog is my family Best wishes --------------------------------------------- Randy

Since I have been jumping LO loads for most of my skydiving career Id like to add to quades point. Saftey is number one and it should be for each skydive. After that FUN is next, after all thats why we do this. Fun means different things to different people. Fun could be getting a great big way together, turing fifteen plus points on a four way or it could be having a great time with friends on a zoo load ((exit, funnel, round, funnel, round...) MB loads @ Perris ) The bottom line, keep it safe and fun. BTW Darrel, I always enjoyed your loads @ Perris. Good Job. --------------------------------------------- Randy

Here is another one with a quote from their Information Minister... "They are sick in their minds. They say they brought 65 tanks into center of city. I say to you this talk is not true. This is part of their sick mind," Mohammed Saeed al-Sahhaf said. "There is no presence of American infidels in the city of Baghdad at all." That means these US soldiers aren’t really in one of the presidential palaces --------------------------------------------- Randy
