  1. Wuffo's ask me all the time how I spend ALL DAY at the drop zone and how I get so many jumps in -- I'm sure you've been asked too! I made a video to help explain that there's more to it than just the videos and photos they see us post everywhere. Oddly enough there's very little free fall in here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nEJkehnQYSQ https://www.instagram.com/nikkomamallo/
  2. Congrats on getting your A! Let's jump next time I'm up that way and we have good weather. :D https://www.instagram.com/nikkomamallo/
  3. Skydance in Davis CA. About a 1.5 hour drive and heaps of birds that like to flock around. :) https://www.instagram.com/nikkomamallo/
  4. Welcome Schmoli! I'm a regular out at Jet City, so once you're cleared for solo jumps let me know and we'll play around in the sky. See ya this weekend! https://www.instagram.com/nikkomamallo/
  5. Hey Tuomo, I'm interested for sure! I was planning on making something with an Arduino board this winter with all those sensors minus the Ambient Light Sensor. Which, for skydivers we really wouldn't need unless it's for a night jump and the screen can be backlit? Would there be a screen? As in, could it be worn as a wrist mount alti? Or would it be used to track and record data to either onboard memory or an SD card? Could it be paired with BT headphones for audible readouts or altitudes, speeds, glides, etc? I see there are GPIO pins that I could mod with... are there plans for making the code pretty open for development? Say, could I add some sort of audio board to go along with this so I could plug in headphones? Could I add in lights to blink with certain statuses? https://www.instagram.com/nikkomamallo/
  6. The only wireless headphones/headsets I know of are bluetooth. There are bluetooth transmitters out there, so you could potentially go that route. I'd put the BT transmitter on the inside of the helmet (if you have room) so it doesn't stick out and snag anything - and then pair it with some headphones. I haven't done it, but I suppose if you wanted to ditch the wire from your helmet to your head it's possible. Probably looking at around $70 or so for both if you price shop. https://www.instagram.com/nikkomamallo/
  7. YES! I made a bracelet with colors to match my rig awhile back, but now I have more projects to do! Thanks for the link! :D https://www.instagram.com/nikkomamallo/
