  1. Not negotiating "works"? You couldn't be more wrong. It didn't work in Northern Island and it sure as hell won't work in Iraq. Negotiating is actually the ONLY way in which you can end a widespread (i.e. nation-wide) terrorist/insurgent scenario. If the British government had stuck to your policy then there would still be bombings in Northern Ireland today. Do you think the Tamil Tigers in Sri Lanka can be defeated by simply "not negotiating"? You're living in a fantasy world.
  2. Why do you post here then? Narcissism?
  3. Because you were lording your "military experience" over him, as if you were somehow superior for that fact. I'd say the opposite is actually true, because he has not been through a deliberate process of indoctrination. Unlike you.
  4. If anyone reading this jumps at Atlantic School of Skydiving, can you send me a PM please? I've got a couple of questions I'm looking to answer! Thanks!
  5. You've got over 3000 jumps and have been in the sport for 11 years, and yet you're going to school?
  6. You really are hilariously gullible. I find your track record of posting this kind of fraud to be a total riot - keep it up!
  7. Like in Waco? You constantly re-enforce my dislike for your lack of compassion. What happened at Waco was compassionate?
  8. No class... Oh so I was incorrect. I think not.
  9. Hmm. I believe Reagen left office with a budget deficit larger than the combined total of all of his 39 predecessors. Reminds me of someone else...
  10. Oh...however horrible war is, there is no denying the skillful "art" of war. And we're good at it! This is what really bugs me. You revel in it. You actively enjoy thinking about how capable you are (or the US is) at killing people. It seems that you define a large part of yourself, introspectively or otherwise, as being "good" at killing. To me, that's sociopathic at best, and inhuman at worst.
  11. You win the point out the obvious award.
  12. Does anyone know David Leif Brandal and can tell me his Dropzone.com name? He jumps at Atlantic school of skydiving and lives in Nova Scotia, Canada. Thanks, - Andrew
  13. I would say that the root cause was a lack of empathy and the prevelance of an "us vs. them" mindset (as exemplified by your "I blame it on the liberals" comment).
  14. You are absolutly right, except that we have a problem in this country of a lot of children not being taught anything by their parents except how to beat the system, lie, steal and cheat. These kids have no morals values, are not disciplined, and do not value life. The chances of them becoming productive citizens is almost nil. Face it folks, the parents are not doing the job either! And you want your kid sitting next to these angels 6 or 7 hours a day? Good luck. Why not finish that train of thought by proposing your "final solution"?
  15. Do you believe that there are now *less* terrorists in Iraq than before? Do you believe that our current actions are *not* creating people who will seek to harm America in the future?
  16. Ah... the "final solution". You haven't given this a lot of thought, have you. You need to read Freud.
  17. If you're serious, that's about the most naive thing I've ever heard.
  18. Along similar lines to your scenario: http://www.thememoryhole.org/war/apache_hit.mpg Can someone clarify for me that killing a wounded man is considered standard practice by the US army (or not)?
  19. ***I’ve faced real fear and death before. I, however, face it with confidence now because I know my future. So your religious beliefs allow you to cope with an otherwise harsh reality. I think that the need for such a coping mechanism is a key driver in many peoples religious beliefs, whether they consciously realize it or not.
  20. And what a sad way to live your life. People like that deserve our pity. But what you've said is itself condescending, thereby making your statement inherently self-contradictory. By your own logic, you deserve "our" pity.
  21. I think this pretty much confirms it: http://www.thememoryhole.org/war/iraqis_tortured/
  22. Even if someone does have a weapon, how are they going to get through the armored door to the cabin? My understanding was that such doors are mandatory now. Correct me if I'm wrong.
  23. Although I don't agree with their policy (I hate being searched), it actually makes sense in that they know about the knives and bottles, but they don't know what you might be bringing onto the plane, hence the checks. It seems like they have simply determined that their risk model allows their own knives (since every passenger will get some, therefore there is no advantage to an attacker), but doesn't allow a weapon which would give an advantage - and therefore which someone would have to bring on. You're just pissed about being searched, which is fair enough, but their logic itself is not faulty.
