[replyYou just gotta know when it's right and when it's not. I know some people will dis-agree with me on this one but....the people that I know who are in the most loving relationships dont have to work at it....it just comes to them naturally....I have never WORKED at something I really love, I do it because I love too (I.E. skydiving) and I see too many people in dead end relationships that they work at for years only to be miserable for years and then start over like the rest of us...I say if it aint right from the get go then it aint going to get any better...let it go and move on just my 2 cents Don´t belive the hype

I agree TX once it is going down hill then it is time to cut away. I have always found it funny that we as skydivers have no problem cutting away a malfunctioning parachute but we as people will try to make a malfunctioning relationship work until we hit rock bottom. Don´t belive the hype

Great to hear that your mom wants to jump. I agree with others here, bring her to the DZ. This past weekend we set a new Michigan record (52 way) and this 80 year old wuffo got inspired and did her first tandem that day, my buddy the TM said she had a great time (and like many people she wished she jumped sooner in her life) Don´t belive the hype

I disagree spedbus....if you enjoy skydiving and you have the desire to go again and again then you are a skydiver, maybe not a expierenced one but a skydiver none the less. Don´t belive the hype

I belive that you can be called a skydiver if a. you have jumped out of a plane at altitude b. you have a desire to do it again and again If you have jumped (regardless of how many times) but dont desire to do it again then you have skydived but are not a skydiver. Don´t belive the hype

Never exited below 3k but i have had to pull around 1500 because the group after us diddnt give it enough time (they were right over my head)....quite a rush waiting for the Triathalon to open (thing takes forever) Don´t belive the hype

1700ft exit.....uuuuh yes....well i guess I lack the testicular fortatude to attempt that at this point in my career forgot to add that with my canopy a 1700 ft hop n pop may not give me enough time if i diddnt pack for it.. Lol, In fact if I diddnt pack for it I would pull silver below 1500 for sure Don´t belive the hype

It would be interesting to find out how many people that feel pulling at 2500 is ok have cut-aways and what kind of canopies they fly. I have around 110 jumps and i would define low as throwing my PC at 3000 but I like to keep it around 3500. I have a canopy that often takes 800 ft to open and if I go down to 3k and have a problen then i could possibly be at 2k or below before emergency proceedures are started....this is comfortable for me (as I have cut away at this alt before).... at our DZ we do a lot of freeflying and we break off at 5500 to 5000 and this gives everyone time to track and open well before 2500, I only state this to show that most of the people at my home DZ would also say that the PC should be thrown around 3500 for safety.
