    Right on. Your suggestion seems to be the consensus. Makes sense to me. I'm going to do a coach jump and measure my fall rate and then determine fabrics and fit. But I'd imagine if my first suit can be used for belly flying and 2-4 ways, then it will keep me busy for some time. Klaasic

    Right on. Thanks for the detailed advice. I'm the type of consumer that buys things once but usually spends good money for good quality. So, I have no problem throwing down good money for a good, durable, fitted jumpsuit. Here is my order of what I want to learn. 1. Proper Bellyflying 2. 2-4 way formations 3. Freefly It sounds like instead of trying to cover all three disciplines with one suit, I should just start with a belly suit that compensates my fall rate that has grippers. Then, when I finally am ready for rw, I'll just buy a rw suit. Makes sense to me. However, the fabric thing is totally new to me. I'll have to do a jump or two with someone experienced and get their opinion. Klaasic

    I'm 6'0 175lbs. I'm looking to just belly fly for awhile. I eventually want to freefly but I want to get the basics down first. Doing some 2 ways would be fun too. As far as fall rate, is there a certain number that everyone tries to match or is it relative to the people that you will be jumping with? Klaasic

    I just finished my AFF. Took four days of jumping, (2 jumps a day) to complete. I did it over the course of a month on the weekends. Every jump just keeps getting better and better! My advice would be to ask questions when you have them. Relax and enjoy the experience. Close your eyes and visualize your dive flows before every jump. And have confidence in yourself! Also, any additional reading of the SIM or your drop-zones study materials doesn't hurt. I enjoyed reading and researching AFF during the week when I wasn't jumping. Youtube videos are also fun to help you stay stoked. Klaasic

    Just completed my levels 3 and 4 today. So stoked. Passed both with flying colors. My landing on level 3 wasn't that good. I was on a 260 again. However, on level 4, they threw me back on a 280 and I had another stand up landing. I think I'm just going to use a 280 for awhile. Klaasic

    The first landing I had was hard. I was on a 260 and I flared late. Feet to ass boom. My second landing however was epic. They threw a 280 on my back and I did the shoulder/waist flare at the right time. Landed on my feet with a two step. It was awesome. Couldn't stop stoking after that. Klaasic

    That's what I hear to. Both 1 and 2 for me went really well. I didn't have receive any correction signals which was awesome. So, I'm hoping the release dive will be smooth as well. Funny you say smile. On my second jump I was doing my circle of awareness and I looked over at my reserve side instructor. He paused and I was thinking he was going to give me a correction signal. Instead, he pulled down his mouth cover, gave me a big smile, and pointed to it with his hand. Obviously I was tense haha. It is a image I will have stuck in my head forever. Klaasic

    Hey DZ, I just started jumping. I passed my Level 1 and 2 last Saturday. I'm hooked. I'm digging for any bit of money I have to make it out again this weekend! How are the rest of the AFF levels? Which are the ones that you struggled with or did you pass them all first try? Klaasic

    Hey Jason! Congrats on completing AFF. I just started my AFF last Saturday at Elsinore. I completed Levels 1 and 2 on Sunday and it went really well. I'm super stoked and can't wait until I'm in your shoes and jumping solo. Did you have to repeat any levels? Do you have any advice on levels 3-8? Maybe we will get to jump together. Klaasic

    Yesterday, I saw a group of 20 guys with luggage show up. Maybe that was the group of British guys you were talking about? Barry Williams was my ground school instructor. He means business but has a great sense of humor when appropriate. Adrian Bond was my main-side instructor. That dude is super cool and a great teacher. He knows how you keep you focused and calm. I think hes on vacation for all of November tho. Kenn Walker was my reserve side instructor. He was detailed but quiet. I think he was quiet because he wanted me to take most of my instruction from my main-side (Adrian). I trusted both of them 100% percent. They were both very experienced. I hear that Elsinore is a great DZ for students. The winds are predictable because of the lake. The landing zone is large. The weather is good this time of year. Klaasic

    If you do your AFF jumps 1-8 at one drop zone...can you switch drop-zones to do jumps 9-25 for your A license? Klaasic

    I just completed levels 1 and 2 yesterday! Super stoked. Before my first jump I was nervous about flying my canopy. But I realized it wasn't that big of deal. I had a great ground school instructor and awesome dive instructors. It had to be one of the most humbling, confidence building, fun, and focused moments I've ever experienced. Super stoked to join the skydiving family! Can't wait to finish AFF! Klaasic

    Hey everyone. Name is Bob and I'm 25. I'm new to Skydiving and I joined this forum to help educate myself of whats to come. I've done two tandem jumps at Lake Elsinore, CA which have hooked me into starting the AFF program. If anyone has any experiences, advice, or memories of their AFF jumps, I'd love to hear them!
