In 1975 a skull and parachute were found approx 10 miles east of Estacada Oregon. The FBI determined it was not Cooper (because it was South of the Jump Zone)
Apparently kids had been trying to shoot the parachute out of a tree for several years, and only when a skull was found nearby (by forest workers) was a connection made that it could be Cooper.
I have a transcript of the original news article, but no follow up article that I can find anywhere. Does anyone have any other info on this? I find it hard to believe that nothing else was found. Lack of info on this makes me go HMMMMM
TESTXYZ: While the list of serial numbers was sent to banks, only a very small percentage of bills were checked against it. The Cooper money could very easily have been spent w/o anyone catching it
