$10 DC-3 Jumps if we can get the people
numskull99 replied to numskull99's topic in Events & Places to Jump
Hey I just heard that Air Venture LLC. in Utah is offering $10 Jumps to 13,000 Ft from a DC-3 if we get 40 jumpers per load. It sound good to me!!! -
I jumped here last week, the staff was wonderful. Some of the fun jumpers had a big head. But other than that I had a wonderful time. I plan to go back as soon as I can. The 15,000 Ft jump was pretty cool, it would've been nice to get to jump with someone else. But I went out during the week so I didn't have the option. Thanx For the Jumps. Derek Lewis D-24034

I have heard rumors of a dropzone getting started in Mesquite Nevada. I don't know if this is true but I would like to know if it is. If anyone knows anything about it I would like to know. Thanx, Derek

If the speed down didn't kill him, there is allot of forward speed that probably would. -Nums

About how many jumps would it take on a viper to start wearing down the ZP fabric? In other words how many jumps till it will start loosing its performance? Thanx, Derek

Does anyone know anything about Viper main canopy? Is it elliptical? Thanx,

The DC-3 Is the shit. The thing is so big. And at 1,000 Ft per min. It rocks. -Derek

Just to let anyone interested know, Cedar Valley Utah has just gotten a DC-3. $18 to 13,000 Ft. Come one come all everyone is welcome. -Derek

Well I just was jumping a 120 vengance. And I am not as impressed. Exit weight at 195 wing load 1.62. It flew ok, turn weren't as nice as crossfire or cobalt. It was very ground hungry and the flare was there but i didn't like how it starts so low in the control range. I have it to my shoulders before it will even start to flare. It seems like it has a 2 stage flare on it. I prefer a single smooth flare. These are just my opinions, Thanx. -Nums

I bought me a skytronic FX a few months ago. I like having everything done for me, it makes logging jumps easy. It was kinda a pain to figure out how to set it up because they forgot to add some of the instructions with it. I wish you could adjust the volume in it though. It is hard to hear when I put it in a protec, but in a Z1 or other nice helmet it is fine. But I enjoy it very much. And I feel it is much better of a deal than ProTrack, considering it does all the same things. -Nums

Well I think as long as a parachute get's you into the air and to the ground safe, that is all that matters. I'd jump anything if that's what if took to get me airborne. -Nums

Hey Mike, Just to let U know, I havn't jumped that canopie for quite a while. Currently I am jumping cobalt and stiletto 135's. And have been for past 200 jumps. And taking shit from U, someone who wont even admit what he's jumping..Haha!!!! Just had to mess with ya back!!! -Nums

Yeah but the reserve has a silicone treatment on them. Which makes them like ZP for a few jumps. That is why a reserve won't have allot of saves before you will need to get a new one. -Nums
