Our home on VA was built right after the civil war. huge basement, not much of an attic - it got HOT. sounds like your new home is a master of cooling - that's super!! my parent's in FL also has that "ridge vent" it helps a bunch! Clorox will cause scaring most likely. Basically it just kills everything, including the new skin. I have 2 poison ivy scars (from when I was like 8) on my forhead - they're the only scars, never got any from the pox even. Lew - dang, that sounds like a very bad case. I use to get that crap ALL THE TIME. It's not the best & it stings like a bitch, but I ust to put either rubbing alcohol or clorox bleach on w/ a soft wash cloth. I subscribe by the no matter the pain get this shit off my skin manner though - many people do not. I use to get in on my arms or legs while playing in the woods when I was younger. I'd scratch it to hell, open the wound, then accidentally scratch my stomach or neck or something - end up w/ it all over. A bath I think w/ oat meal is suppose to help it feel better also. good luck!! i catch it if I stand downwind from a plant - it sucks!! Recently cought it on public transit. I have a question relating to this.... John LaBlanc (from PD) was giving a seminar on a 2 out situation & what to do. All his responses were giving a smaller reserve. He said if the reserve is bigger & it is out behind the main (quite typical apparently), it will never stay in a bi-plane, it'll always go into a side-by-side & more probably end up in a down plane. I've always thought that I'd want a larger reserve & will most likely keep my kit in that set-up. I asked John what to do w/ a reserve larger than the main - his response: "don't get in a 2 out situation." My question is, if most people are now leaning toward the larger reserve set-up... how does this affect the 2-out situation scenarios & our response? There is no can't. grrr it was cold this morning - I had to wear a jacket again. I HATE cold weather. I think FL is still in my blood, anything below 74 is cold - 86 is my favorite temp, w/ a bit of humidity. However, to you southerners (other than Mississippi from my knowledge) - summers here in chicago do get as bad as they are in say FL or parts of TX (not Houston). For about 2.5 months it's often times worse than it is in FL - hot & humid. the thing i bitch about is taht there's no in-between. last week we had frost warnings, i think there was one day of mid-60's; then right into summer - on the other end, there'll be about a week of fall - then WINTER. As a former waitress, I say BRAVO to Dagney, Kevin, Zeemax & Goddess!! When I was a waitress (in FL - tourism capital), I completely shied away from a few certain groups of people, Church people, elderly out for the early bird special, English & Aussies (there are some others I'm leaving out for PC reasons). I KNEW they would not tip. Even most of those people commented on how great my service was. I had 3 couples come in for early bird & always ask for me - I HATED THEM. They always ordered stuff we didn't even have on the menu anymore, I knew bout their entire family, they'd sit @ my table for over 2 hours & leave me a 5 dollar tip. An English foursome left me $5 on a $150 bill, we weren't allowed to approach patrons about our tip, but I couldn't resist.... they were suprised that we were paid less than 1/2 of minimumsurprised wage & that our lives depended on the kindness of others paying us for being their servent for the night. Once they finished their drink & left, I picked up bill holder & there was a $50 bill w/ an apology & a thanks for setting them straight on american dinners. I'm sorry, but that totals up to under $4/hr out of which bout 50% goes to other people (gov't included). Diablo - your attitude sucks!! I hope you only eat @ fast food places or Buffet type restaurants. Yes, the wage sucks & that's the gov't's fault - but why stick it to the waitress busting their ass to get your dinner on time? At least add it up from $2.50 to $8/hr (i.e. tip $5.50 for every hour you sit your cheep ass @ their table taking money away from their pockets by blocking better paying, more appreciative patrons from sharing)? Dinners in Australia were a bit more expensive than here AND I had the worst service of my life. I wished the server was depending on a tip so I could leave like $1. All 4 of my bosses resigned w/ in a week of eachother. My new "bosses" out of NY, Boston or Dallas (depending on the price of tea in China); do hassel me about my TPS reports... they just call it something in Swahili. OMG that sounds horrid!! I'm so afraid of that happening!! Good to know it could be done under local. That is strange that your body inside broke a screw - wow!! Strong bones!! I haven't had an x-ray since the cast was removed. If you rub my finger, you can feel the screws - on the top & bottom of my finger. Once I scraped the top of my finger on a piece of wood - OMG I thought I was going to die!! My Dr said I may want to have the hardwear removed - but the worst part of healing was the physical therapy after the scar tissue attached itself to the ligament & wouldn't allow my finger to bend or move or anything. I'm still at less that 50% my previous strength on my pinky & 30% decreased in my left hand (almost 2 years later). There is no can't. Only lack of knowledge or fear. Only you can fix your fear. Not sure that I'm bionic, but I have a plate & 4 screws holding my pinky finger on.... if it hurts when it rains, or the weather changes, or... do you qualify? cause then I'm def in - I'll even let you feel the screws - eeewwww. And THAT is why I'll go to Wrigley. I can appreciate a long hit ball or a great chatch, but typically, it's super dull. Car racing, I love fast cars & the wrecks are spectacular; however whatching them go round & round gets dull... most sports are the same for me. Some people think soccer is boring, I played it & can appreciate the work that goes into playing a good game. I do pay to go to things I don't necessarly like, because my friends like them & I want to enjoy my friends experience. I only to to Comisky if my lawyers gives me box seat tickets There is no can't. Well, I don't like the yuppies, I lived in Lincoln Park & Boys Town - had to get outta there FAST. However, since I HATE HATE HATE baseball - I go for the wrigley experience (and a tan ). The Cougars have that nice, afternoon @ the park feel. I don't like Comiski (or US Cellular field or whatever it is no), there are too many baseball fans there - well, really not that many people, just all fans. I grew up in FL - loved going to the field team games of the Pirates, Sox, Tigers, Reds... many many great times!! Teh best thing bout the Sox's park was the vertigo feeling I got @ the very tiptop of the seats. Since they took those away, there's no reason to go anymore. There is no can't.
