  1. If they want to be truly responsible for regulating instructors, then the USPA should get the FAA to grant them real authority, like the Ozzies have with the APF. The ability to shut down a DZ if they are willfully breaking the regs. “That which can be asserted without evidence, can be dismissed without evidence.”
  2. Not if you're landing next to the beach and the winds are off the ocean. Clean wind in my experience. “That which can be asserted without evidence, can be dismissed without evidence.”

  5. One of my favorite sayings..."If 'ifs' and 'butts' were candy and nuts...it'd be christmas everyday!!! They would still be sued, even if they didn't give the rating. The DZ was using Strongs equipment, and has money(Or at least did). Even though the video clearly showed all the straps loose to the stops(100% TI responsibility), they went after Strong. “That which can be asserted without evidence, can be dismissed without evidence.”
  6. Perhaps you should not let wealth envy blind you...re-read his post... “That which can be asserted without evidence, can be dismissed without evidence.”
  7. People who sue don't only go for the guilty party, they go for everybody. It's called a blanket lawsuit. Probably in the hopes that the one with deep pockets will settle, since that could be cheaper than actually defending themselves. Ask Ted Strong about that. They did nothing wrong but still had to defend themselves in court, at great cost. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=3541273;search_string=strong%20lawsuit;#3541273 “That which can be asserted without evidence, can be dismissed without evidence.”

  18. Yep, open seven days a week. During the week we fly from 2-10 loads a day, 25+ on Sat/Sun. Once July & August are here the weekdays are busier. Wednesdays are usually busiest with fun jumpers, but any day we are flying there should be no problem finding someone to jump with. http://www.skydivenewengland.com “That which can be asserted without evidence, can be dismissed without evidence.”
  19. Didn't hear that one in the news, got a link? “That which can be asserted without evidence, can be dismissed without evidence.”

  22. Have them set up for a single toggle setting. Less hassle, just as easy to fly around... Have jumped them with both the excess stowed around a rubber band around the 'd' lines, as well as with no brake settings. Seems to me you get slower openings with nothing done with the brake settings....imo “That which can be asserted without evidence, can be dismissed without evidence.”
