Hi, I have a Canon Eos 1000FN (Canon Rebel S in the USA i think) SLR that I have had for a few years now. I would like to bolt it on my head, but have just noticed there is no facility for an external shutter release!!! I never bought this camera with the intention of jumping with it, but it would seem such a waste if I couldn't as it is such a good camera. Has anyone solved this problem or is it confined to the bottom of a drawer? I would be eternally gratefull if someone can help.

I'm currently using Pinnacle Studio and think its great. Does all I want.....so far. From reading the forum I would guess a lot of people are using Adobe's Premier, but I can also see that a lot of people have problems with it? Just curious as to what most peple are using and why? I'm about to start jumping with a camera, mostly RW but hopefully I will get to do some tandems when my skill level is up a bit. One thing i'm not to sure about is what lense convertors to use. e.g what is the difference between a 0.43 and a 0.3. What distance is best with each lense? I have just bought a PC101, and very pleased with it I am too. But, i cannot as yet copy my old analogue video to DV. I have read the manual over and over and as far as i can see i am doing everything to the book. I am using a scart socket from the vcr to a a/v socket in the camcorder. Anyone encoutered this before and can it be fixed. Thanks in advance.

Does anyone have any cool ideas how to turn a satndard protec into a camera helmet? I have just bought a pc101, but now have to wait till i can afford a decent helmet. I have an old protec kicking about somewhere, and i'm sure it could be used somehow, but rather than re-invent the wheel I thought I would ask the experts. Thanks............ I'll keep this brief, Basically i'm now in a position to buy a video camera, but i'm totally confused as to what to buy. I want to video 4-way and tandems eventually. Any informed opinions would be greatfully recieved. I have a chance to buy a Sony IP7 at a very good price, does any one have any experiance of this camera?
