Which AFF level did you end at? Remember that if it's the earlier levels, the 2 instructors make it safer. Furthermore, if you don't pull, they can pull for you.

I'm new to Australian weather but the sun rose at ~6:15 on Sunday (autumn), so I don't think a sunrise load will be possible... -
Yes, it exists. Basically you have to be a competent belly flyer so that you don't end up crashing into others but once you're competent you can have 2, 3, 4 etc... people in the tunnel. Do formations, a routine, your own stuff in half the space, up to you.

Have you considered PMing the tunnel instructors? Why didn't you ask that guy the day itself?

What exactly does the waiver say? They cannot work for 2 DZs at the same time? They cannot work at another DZ after leaving for x time or what?

Thanks for the reminder! A whuffo like me doesn't take all things into account. -

Thanks for the sharing. I need to add "sunset load" to my checklist of stuff I need to do. -
You should go easier on him. He's only a student and he already knows he did something wrong.

No, I just did ground school and a packing course on Saturday. The practice flare also clears problems, like end cells closed. My packing instructor also said sometimes the slider gets jammed where the A and B lines join into a single line that leads to the front risers. The flare helps to 'knock' the slider down as well. I'm not denying it's usefulness in a canopy check, but it's definitely part of clearing low speed mals.

As someone new to DZ.com, what's the big deal about the Cooper thread? I've only seen the last few pages but is it really 2k pages of speculation? They also kinda seem hostile there. What's the deal?

I think your post is off. He might be legitimately ready before 200 flights to fly with a camera, or he might think he's ready before 200 flights though he isn't. Simply stating isn't the way to convince him. To Kirkk0herra, there are a variety of reasons, such as snag hazard or awareness. A jumper can focus too much on getting the shot and losing track of other jumpers or the altitude. edit: at the end of the day, standards are not set by us. It is set by people who are (supposedly) knowledgeable and experienced and act in our best interest. The true reason(s) will only be known by them, everything else is just bits and pieces we hear.

Hi all To me, skydiving was about the freefall plan and canopy flight was just safely getting your ass back to earth, but a friend of mine recently mentioned he enjoys the canopy flight. As someone new to this canopy flight thing, what do you enjoy about canopy flight? Is it the roller-coaster feeling you get when you do sharp turns? I don't even dare to do a sharp turn on a 0.65 W/L. Or is it the ground rushing up only to slow down at the last moment? Share your thoughts, I'm interested to know more about this unknown world! -

Pretty pretty low I'm just curious because I think it's pretty cool to have a very minor fracture. I once fractured my toe before by kicking into something hard. Doctor just told me to rest it (no cast, no meds, nothing) and it recovered with time. -
So your coach isn't attached to the tunnel (and doubles up as a spotter)? I know iFly Singapore does have outside coaches but not sure how this arrangement works.
