pilotdave responded to my request for suggestions with the idea of a random divepool generator. We have since expanded the idea to include a lot of neat features. One cool feature is the ability to create dives/pools from 'standard' points and blocks from a common library as well as the ability to 'roll-your-own' points and store them for later use. I have been working on the interface for the point (is that what you RW guys call it?) editor and would like to share it to get some feedback. Please take a look and play around with it and let me know what your thoughts and suggestions are. I am at your beck and call beta notes: + the diver rotation is kinda crappy right now, am waiting on some trig help from kallend. + Cannot save diagrams yet. have fun but dont go building any 300 ways cuz you cant save yet! + only have belly flyer graphics so far. need to really talk with some crew and ff people to find out what different images would be useful on a divepool diagram for those disciplines + arrows and labels for transitions have not been implementd yet. they are in the toolbox, but just for show. for best results, wait for the page to finish loading before you use it. it has to preload the images for the different diver headings. dzDivepool beta - requires IE6 added screen shot sky namaste, motherfucker.

it will start out as a web app so we can collaboratively refine it. when the soup is done will port to windows app. be the same thing, only with a windows gui. i.e. the app will have a tiny asp.net server built in. i can see the local app/server syncing with global server at users request using a personal filter to only upload values that the user wants public etc.... so what i am seeing is that the ultracomprehensive jump computer integrated stuff for skydivers is covered by existing products. what i see interest in is: a detailed jump log for base a simple jump log for skydivers a pocketpc companion for both. as far as manifest goes, i thought of that when i was there but didnt ask. there is no way i could attempt to improve any existing manifest software while i am here, i just dont know enough about them. namaste, motherfucker.

hadn't before. now have. looks be be a very nice piece of software. well supported and ported to all popular platforms. paralog's feature set is impressive, and includes a lot of the ideas i have like tieing video and stills to jumps. looks like the bases are covered for folks who want to spend 50-100. i only do windows and while i most likely will not be able to provide equivalent features, i hope i can provide some free software that is of use to jumpers of all flavors. who knows? just an idea that has been rattling around in my head. namaste, motherfucker.

i dont know what the protrack software does. i dont own one. like the majority of skydivers i would imagine. it will be something that everybody can use to analyze they data or just keep track and attach pictures. would be a nice alternative to the ubiquitous 'slide show' from yellowstone 12 years ago. lol.. what do you think would be a good idea for skydiver software? what do you want? thats what i want to know. namaste, motherfucker.
