  1. A gigantic "pearl of wisdom"......"the decisions you make early on have later effect". THIS! You can't successfully add on after the fact. I contend this is why a vast amount of relationships fail. Hell, relationships are tough enough during the best of times.
  2. mrubin....the main reason for a " date to accept by" is the price fluctuations on material and sometimes labor (pending strike). These costs rarely go down. In our case, sometimes quotes are only good for a few hours (in which case 30 days is crossed off and the limiting time period is plugged in). Wire costs (copper/aluminum) are based on poundage and it's current world commodities price (I believe posted by the Chicago Commodity Exchange). Your HVAC contractor has these same material issues. As we all know, depending on the world situation and decisions made by self-interested politico's......commodities can skyrocket in an instant.
  3. What Rick said. We use the same contracts.
  4. What troubles me is (just a guess on my part based on current trends) it's likely this perp has gotten more attention and coverage by the propagandists media spewing ruling cabal agenda's, than the deceased victim/s and their family. That is just upside down wrong.
  5. Just remembered........give Indiana Jones er Harrison Ford a call. He keeps a few planes in JH, and a heli-rating as well. I don't have his phone number handy though.
  6. A wedding day gift er life insurance check? That's a cold hearted bride.
  7. Wow! Just like the Reno Air Races only with human power! Love it!
  8. ryoder.......you sure come up with stuff
  9. Tink1717......I've been out for awhile and I'm working towards getting back in after decades out. Currently not 100% but mending (bad mountain bike crash in snow and rock....couldn't wait to bike any longer....but it was June). Anyway.....thought about Skydiving a least once EVERY day, sometimes more. I'm the personality type (as is a lot of skydivers) that's either in to something or not. I can't "kinda" do something. Plus in a sport like skydiving that becomes f-ing dangerous.....IMO (same for flying). In my non-skydiving life I pursued business (which became a full-time plus activity). This allowed me to have a few creature comforts I would have spent on jumps, gear, travel, woman, partying, and just any wild-ass adventure I could dream up involving parachutes. I agree with what ALL the above posters have said. Just a FYI.... motorcycles are fun with that air against your body, but not even a close second to flying your body. Flying is fun.....especially an older "tail-dragger" IMO, but again not free-fall with friends. I'm going to a large Boogie next month (been along time) and check the scene out. It will help me determine where and how I set-up this Winter. Tink1717.....like has been said "you can always come back if you want too". I constantly have short term goals and long term goals (back to skydiving?), along with a slight chip on shoulder (won't go into) that I use for motivation in achieving set plan. Where you are today is not where you have to be tomorrow, or next month, year, unless you want it to be. One thing great about the Republic we live in........you can be who you want to be. I'm sure you'll figure it out. Remember also that successful people (eye-of the beholder...I know) fail hundreds, heck some thousands of times before they figure out their niche in life. Wishing you success in whatever direction you chose.
  10. Sounds like a great adventure. Considering the Winter we have just had, I'll pass this time. I'm headed south this winter, but not that far south. Heck, the local's have yet to get their first cutting of hay, and it's the middle of July! I need some warmth. Apologies for mini rant. It does sound like a once-in-a-lifetime experience
  11. DanG......it doesn't really matter what I think of snopes. The truth from the "horses mouth".....Kelly McMillan, is explained on their companies web site. He landed on his feet after BOA's shenanigans, and created a whole new additional company to serve the firearms industry "McMillan Merchant Solutions". A great solution., https//www.mcmillanusa.com/mcmillan-merchant In this case you are defending your political ideology and over looking the truth based on ".......she could not comment on banks relationship with McMillan Group....."? I choose to believe the business owner whose products are top shelf, rather than BOA polices that probably stem from the department of injustice pressure. DanG, there are other companies in the firearms business that have gone through this as well. However, I am more familiar with this company.
  12. Korean war vet. Two Purple Hearts. I toast you (raising a shot of good whiskey). RIP Soldier.
  13. Quote I remember Bank of America saying that it was no longer going to work with gun dealers.... Quote DanG said I'm sure you remember people making that claim. Do a little research and you'll see BOA denies that quite plainly. Quote GD64 say's DanG......McMillan Group International, purveyor's of very finely crafted firearms were told in 2012 that BOA would no longer be their banker.
  14. IMO holder is one walking scandal. Probably goes back to clintons import business in AR, were he was the rumored "bag man." He has been successful at covering the current ruling cabal's rear. Yeah, he may be one of the most corrupt AG's this country has ever seen, cherry picking who and what laws he cares to enforce. No one will, or can touch him. He will be rewarded with $200,000 speaking engagements and will be sitting on corporate boards with 7 figure salaries for his loyalty to the rulers. Choke Point has been going on for awhile, so just hope you are not in one of the businesses targeted by "eric the red." Oh, issa investigations......a complete joke. Not one change. Just going through the motions so the propagandist (media) can try to convince the peons they really aren't propagandist. I think most USA citizens are truly blind to the ruling elites "dee cee scam." There really is only one solution.
  15. Hey, WaffleCrisp........you may be luckier then your friends by getting your "crash and burns" out of the way while your young. The added bonus being quicker healing.
  16. I agree with the concept of getting the hell out of other countries business. But a world tax? My first thought was what bureaucrat/politico could be trusted with all that money? Seems like a situation that would be ripe for cronyism, extortions, bribery, intimidation, and just out right theft (UN is a classic example.....how many Mercedes did Koffeinan (spell?) and his son end up with, as well as many, many other examples)? However, I'm sure those shovel ready projects would show up if this was implemented........new buildings for bureaucrats (with no expense spared and I'm sure built on some of the most expensive real estate in the world), six and seven figure salaries, pensions at one hundred and thirty percent of salary, luxury car, unlimited travel for friends and family as well, high end booze, whores, unionized workers to staff these buildings, maybe a few months of work er where you have to be seen bullshitting but calling it work, and of course everyone is above the law. Sounds kind of familiar and I still haven't thought of a single bureaucrat/politico that I could trust with all that coin.
  17. Stay away from those free-flyers..........some one, on one of these threads said "they smoke pot"
  18. ***airdiver challenge anyone here to accept the kinds of torture..... QuoteGD64 No thanks. To be clear, as a combat vet, we all have a worst case scenario (that we hope never to implement/or attempt to implement). McCain in his own words admits he broke. TOTALY understandable. However, I have also heard ("firsthand" accounts) of some McCain's actions and changed my view of the man. There was also a book written by another POW that experienced horrendous torture called "Unspeakable Crimes" or something close to that, in which he documents McCain's actions. I think when I started looking at the Forrestal incident (two-camps there), destruction of numerous aircraft while training, etc., etc., it influence's my believing of the above author. Shifting to modern day, the man's politico decisions have been mostly pathetic. "selfies" with ISIS, wanting to further war's through out the planet (...."USA military in the middle-east for 200 years"....), his current views on immigration, and more flip-flops than I have sandals (and I l lived the Jimmy Buffet lifestyle for awhile), makes me wish for his retirement.
  19. Juan McLame was nickname "the canary "buy his fellow prisoners. Kerry conversed with enemy while still in uniform. In a different era both would have been put up against the wall.
  20. So true! We all have to make our own call on this issue, and live with it. The "globalist" are currently winning.
