  1. True Craddock.......also mixed in with a few days of crystal clear air and bright sunshine, as the golden leaves fall from the trees like large snowflakes. It's always a happy/sad ride (last one of the year), as thoughts on the way home turn to tucking my ride away for a long winters nap.
  2. You said Northwood's on profile.......ever make it to the fall ride in the beautiful rolling hills and lake country around Tomahawk, Wisconsin? Nice "Springer".....I rode a 97 "Bad Boy" (last year made) for a lot of years. Love the "old school" look and feel of springers. Sorry to all, damn, O/T again, (one of my flaws)
  3. "......do any of you actually have a pair?" In a very bad place along time ago, I was attached to a Aussie merc unit. They were the most fun, in spite of the situation. On our first encounter they introduced me to Fosters beer, and said (in my butchered Crocodile Dundee voice) "now that's a beer"........although the beer was 90 degrees or so it was one of many and tasted great, (I'd never seen the large cans before either) They definitely "had a pair"!!
  4. No problem GeorgiaDon. I'm from a large family and in business so skin is fairly thick You make some good points which I understand. I fall into that "you are responsible for yourself, as well not causing injury to others camp". I'm of the opinion that there is tremendous overreach in government. I think that hurts the economy and the mindset of some Americans. I better stop, I'm swerving O/T.
  5. Sorry......I thought Bigun's link was the same as a member email I received this morning (same header). To answer your question though, click on Bigun's link and then click "More News From DC" and it is the first link in red. This organization has been on the leading edge of MC advocacy for along time. Again apologies to you and all, for the extra sourcing that I should have done before posting.
  6. http://www.mrf.org I guess telling us what we should drive, eat, and now what we should wear is the job of government /// Interesting how it's always some poll tested rainbows and unicorn name......The Grow America Act.
  7. FYI....One page lane splitting article in American Iron's April 2014 "Motorcycle Bagger" mag.
  8. Operating under the idea that the driver did it on purpose ( as a couple of other posters have analyzed ), he would get a "private" consulting session from me. Damn, if the cagers aren't trying to kill you, the wildlife is
  9. I have one including the pillows, and would do again. Like others have said they are warmer. I am warm when I sleep, and I think most females are cold (naturally),especially feet and hands.

    "Chemtrails"

Apologize in advance if too O/T. USA gov did seed clouds with Operation Popeye(as well as other ops) over ho chi minh trail 67-72.......Wiki. So knowing the mindset of gov and defense contractors, I doubt that they stopped their "weather interference" in 72.
  11. Unless things have changed since I left AZ........ In a holster and your good to go, with no permit of any sort required.
  12. Yeah, obamacare? Veterans Die Waiting on" Secret VA List": Ex-Doctor....... http://www.newser.... Also on CNN reports. If your comment was sarc, ignore.
  13. Sir, I hope you are getting all the airtime you want. You set the bar about as high as it could go with your leadership, bravery, and patriotism!
  14. This is directly out of the UN Agenda 21 playbook (Google agenda 21). It's all about control of property (assets). Although said property has been paid for or funded by taxpayers, it's the politicos and bureaucrats who decide on usage and/or disposition. Ultimately it (A-21), is a massive redistribution scheme. This type of operation has been going on in many states (especially the West .......tons of natural resources/assets), for many years. Probably the most recent (if I remember correctly), was the current ruling cabals gift of one million acres of Wyoming land to a native American tribe without Wyoming taxpayer input of any sort. I also have no problem with "true conservation" projects. However, they seem to involve a lot of "crony capitalism" with an expensive "make work" and corruption attitudes. Slightly off-topic.... (lived, worked, jumped in FL for a few years)and took a week off work one Summer and backpacked hundred or so miles of remote FL backcountry trails. I did not encounter one human in that week, but fantastic wildlife encounters daily
  15. andym148.....a salute to you and your organization on behalf of Vets everywhere from All era's of service! IMO there's not a better way to integrate returning Vets back into the world than skydiving! They (Vets) can never recover "pre-war innocence", let alone limbs, as they look around at family, friends, and society thinking WTF! So rather than feel like a total freak with no one you can relate to, you have new focus, accomplishments, goals, adrenaline rushes, a new family, and FUN! Again, Well Done andym148!!

    Bought a building

Rainbo........"Bought a building" That sure beats "buying the farm" Seriously, I wish you much success!
  17. If you're not a current rider........please, please, please take a motorcycle safety course. All states have them, and they are usually inexpensive ($100 give or take). The courses are usually held in community college parking lots or some such venue (not on streets). Many of them furnish the bikes......like the equivalent of Honda 50's or such. Usually courses are held on weekends by instructors that have ridden for many years. A combination of classroom and actual riding is the course. A possible added benefit is that some insurance companies lower your rate after completing a safety course. Be safe and keep the rubber side down.
  18. B-Charles......I also agree with Jimmytavino's points on financial security for you and your family. Large cash stashes are not easy to come by and you may never see another in your lifetime. But assuming you have that covered, go for it! My best friend and I look back at our skydiving experiences as one of the highlights in our lives. Talking about it always brings a smile. You mentioned the military.....while I sat in a nasty shithole not of my choosing, I decided that if I got out of there I would skydive. So follow your dream brother.
  19. Worst part of skydiving! Been involved in two canopy entanglements. One of the cut-a-ways was below 500 feet......FUCK!! Stay away from my canopy.
  20. Darth V.......I like Shift's the best, and for the reasons he stated.
