screw you guys! y'all are no fun. right now, I think I'll head down to vail on sat. the 25th, and hopefully be back at the dz on sunday and then hang out in denver/ski monday or tuesday. Still need to make it to colorado springs and see my buddy mcclure at the academy. canuck, if I'll let you know of my whereabouts when time comes. sbb

I'll do whatever I have to to get on a load. I'd rather NOT do RW, but I'll bring it along for shits and giggles. FF, video, then RW are my choices. I had an offer to go to vail on saturday, but that may be one long haul from nebraska over night, alone. I don't know what to do really quite yet. all I know is either monday or tuesday that week, I will be skiing, somewhere.

Gotta have a cutaway-real or planned on a cutaway rig as well. diveout, I'm getting mine in the next 90 days or so...did you have to deal with the USPA tandem instructor stuff requirements as well as STRONG TDM I? just curious.

I have a week of vacation Jan. 25 to feb. 2nd and I plan on coming down to get some skiing/jumping in the first few days of vacation. I'll be in the denver area so if you think you'll be around then to ski or jump, give me a shout, soon. sbb

I'd say guests are the skygod wanna-be's skydivers who only say they can skydive and there are more of them right now because most of the ppl logged on are out skydiving as we speak.

I wouldn't consider a pc over the leading end of a canopy a malf, unless of course it hindered control. I've seen at least a tandem drogue do that and a solo.

well in a case like that, I'd choose the cloud clearance for above 10,000 MSL and you'd be covered all the way down, regardless of what airspace you pass thru. unless of course you got out somewhere in between.

I'm really surprised no one has mentioned its even breaking the FAR's(part 91.155 to be exact) to be near a cloud. Sounds like there are some jumpers in training listening to this so I'll toss this info out for educational purposes Cloud clearance requirements Less than 10,000 feet MSL visibility: 3 statute miles: 500 feet below 1,000 feet above 2,000 feet horizontal At or above 10,000 feet MSL visibility: 5 statute miles 1,000 feet below 1,000 feet above 1 statute mile horizontal
