Yeay! Thanks wingnut! The official date is February 26, 2001 The first person to register on that day was Sue Higgins (skySue) from down under in Australia. well, technically I was first and then Paige Macdonald, but I had an unfair advantage and Paige got a little preview on the 21st! Welcome to the new Canopy Relative Work (CReW) forum. The intent is to create a valuable resource over time with information related specifically to this discipline. These are moderated forums and all discussions in their needs to be related to the topic. Same rules apply as in all other Dropzone.com moderated forums. I will appoint additional moderators for the forum in the future if necessary. Have fun! Safe swoops Sangiro

Hey Beachbum, welcome to Dropzone.com! Always a good idea to search the boards first before you ask a questions - a lot of skydiving questions and site issues (like the PM error message) has been dealt with a lot of times before. Also, I moved this thread of yours to the Talk Back forum from Relative Work. We try to keep discussions in the other forums (at least when the start) to the related forum topic. On this board you can post more or less any chit-chat! Have fun!

Dave, I need to go mine my logs a bit for hits and stuff like that (obviously a lot of trackers log a hit every time the server is called, not very useful unless if you want to know about server load) As for usage, based on banner displays, I had a little over 1.2 M page views in January.

Search the forums - this questin has been asked several times before. Always a good idea to do a quick seach first before posting. Safe swoops Sangiro

Dave, About 60 GB per month. That's 20 GB more than what comes standard with my dedicated server, so there is a small extra charge for Clay's fetish... Safe swoops Sangiro

Nope - but you owe me $500 for wasting my bandwidth..... Safe swoops Sangiro

Well said. That is EXACTLY what it was intended to be since day one.

Me too - thanks! Upload some of them to the galleries as well, they're pretty neat. Safe swoops Sangiro

Neat! Upload to the gallery please! Always a cool place to drop photo's for future generations... so to speak! Safe swoops Sangiro

Go try the pub again... I think it's fixed now (your browser has to be java-script enabled) Safe swoops Sangiro

It's fixed... go for it! Safe swoops Sangiro

Try getting in through Slappie's Web Site Safe swoops Sangiro

Ok, seems like we may have some clearer days coming up, so I need to get my reserve repacked. I'd like to get it done before I head out to a DZ. Anyone know a rigger in London that's worth knowing? Safe swoops Sangiro

Often you hear the phrase: "Only in America". It seems like the British companies are warming up to this idea.... Why BT claims it owns the right to 'click here' (Don't click on the link above unless you're willing to pay royalties to British Telecom!) Safe swoops Sangiro

Relax big boy! The forums that I have in mind is based on WWWThreads and will look and function almost exactly like this one. Besides, your Dropzone.com username is independent of the forums and will never change again regardless of what additional applications I implement. The forum change is somewhere in the future, but don't hold your breath - this one works fine for now. I have a few other projects that needs doing first....

Yes - it's part of UBBThreads - I don't know UBB but I assume it will be there as well. it's a pretty basic piece of functionality. I never liked UBB - mostly Infopop, the company behind it - and now that they acquired WWWThreads I am likely to migrate this forum in the future... Safe swoops Sangiro
