  1. I did my groundschool at Sebastian on Saturday. It was clear and beautiful all day long... until we got done with the test. As soon as I got manifested on a load for lvl 1, the rain came in. But that just meant I was on load 1 the next morning! Come on over and play with us!
  2. Seriously? I'll grant you, I'm no fan of Canada, but this is just silly... It took Canada a week to declare war on Germany in '39. How long did it take us? I think we have differing ideas of what is WORTH fighting for. Maybe, just maybe, making up wars to increase political power isn't quite the worthy justification our "leaders" pretend it is...
  3. Speaking as a wiccan, I have never spond any borg and I have no plans to in the future.
  4. I moved to Florida this year, and realized, I no longer have any "winter" which got me aching to get back in the sky. At that point, was at 244 lbs... It took me longer than I'd like, but I'm back under 220 now, so I redid my ground school on Saturday, and passed level 1 on Sunday. It feels SO good to fly again! What was most interesting to me was the differences between the training I had previously (WAY back in '06) and the training this time around. The biggest difference I think was in regard to PLFs. We drilled them over and over and over the first time through. This time, we talked through "rolling out" excess horizontal speed on landing, but we didn'd do any practices. Apparently there was an injury of some sort associated with the practice itself (rather than a real live PLF on landing) so they don't do the drills any more. Is this pretty rare? Did you guys have to jump off tables and such?
  5. The data is in! We've studied the last 44 years and found that over 64% of the time, when I am awake, the sun is up! Ergo, I make the sun rise. The sad fact is the Republican/Democratic party gets paid to fuck us all over, and we allow ourselves to be distracted by their silly "there's a big difference between us!" game
  6. We already know the answer to that... Someone will decide we need another law in order to attempt to legislate stupidity out of existence.
  7. I just assumed Hayseed Dixie had gone on tour in Finland...
  8. This makes me sad... What would it take to make you reconsider?
  9. So, to your mind, what's the difference between an atheist and an agnostic?
  10. That's sort of more corporate capital punishment that mortality... How about just a life span on corporations? After 30 years, it "dies" and is assessed the current death tax...
  11. Actually, I think that would tell us which state's corrupt officials are the least competent at corruption... Elsewhere, they're better at not getting caught.
  12. Are we sure something that offensive doesn't belong in SC?
  13. It's just not very fashionable these days...
  14. Which is why clearly bears need to be registered
  15. Guessing that was for the OP, but I'll answer anyway. I would be thrilled. I have no qualms with parental consent...
  16. Just couldn't resist throwing in some of the party-approved parrot points, could you? It was perfect right up until the last sentence. Why muck it up pretending this is a sexist or racist issue? It's the attempt to codify their religious beliefs into law. Nothing more, nothing less.
  17. Other than the fireworks, I'm with you but the biggest is baseball... All the complaints listed above for football... that's my view of baseball. I just don't get it. So painfully boring
  18. Won't we then have to charge them with child porn as well?
  19. Absolutely! That I can get behind whole-heartedly!
  20. Hilarious, and a great way to draw attention to a serious issue. Sadly, they seem to be a bit reluctant to explain what their "solution" is... I'd love to see the text of this American Anti-Corruption Act. Then there's the issue of their support of the gun grabbers. It's good to see Americans starting to get concerned... Now if they would just get educated too
  21. The IRS is not a required component of taxes... Try another strawman.
  22. Sorry, gotta jump in on that one... It's a pet peeve. There is nothing the Pres can do to "create" jobs... The most they can do is move them around from one sector to another.
