What I see here is a whole stack of evidence as to why the Democrats are bad for us, but no evidence that the producers of said video would be any better... and it's just as valid as the same stuff was when they were producing it to show how bad the Republicans are for us. Neither of them are actually interesting in reducing the deficit or cutting spending.

I'd vote for her! Better than any other option we've had in the last 30 years... -
Not really. This is a lose for both sides... What it means is there will be far fewer people going through an FFL for transfers, so MORE guns will end up in hands they shouldn't. There's no upside here, whichever side you happen to fall on.

Impressive... Not many bears ride these days

Screw that. Teleport my Starbucks to me, and skip the office.

***Why does the execution have to be humane? *** I've seen a number of good answers to this, but I've not seen what I consider to be the most important one: Amendment VIII Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted. I realize it's (sadly) out of fashion but it is still supposedly the law of the land.

Don't say that! Somebody will decide it has to be regulated and it will end up on schedule I! -
Hey, Chesh! Welcome! Another south Florida AFF student here... Where are you jumping? I'm doing way too much work travel this month, so my hope is to get back in the sky in June, and hopefully A before August

Got a link? A Youtube search for "A Bridge to Nowhere" even adding "BASE" brings up mostly Minecraft vids... -

And THAT is the key for me. It's not a question of justice, or punishment, or even prevention. It's a question of trust. Do you trust the government with your life? I know I do not... They have proven time and again that they are not consistently capable of determining guilt, and just one innocent life is enough to outweigh any possible benefit.

Can I just say I LOVE this thread! Kudos to everyone above! I did my first 16 jumps in 2006, before being grounded by weather and work. By the time spring came around, I was over jump weight, and never got back up. Fast forward several years, and I've moved to Florida. A chance encounter with a jumper in April renewed the spark, and I was jonesing to get back in the sky, but, also at 245 lbs. So, I renewed my USPA and started hitting any nearby drop zones to build that drive. Down to 234 so far, but I will get there! By the way, anyone tracking a running total for this thread?

I don't qualify to vote, at least, not for 3 more weeks, but I land with the "Not yet heard any that I like" crowd. I have heard a very few hip hop tunes that were tolerable, but no rap as yet. Somewhat like Rhenquest, my library is a rather eclectic mix, but mine has country and celtic replacing the rap and hip hop...

Agreed! Guess I wasn't clear. I'm not looking for one to calc the spot for me, but rather one to use for practice on the ground. It would come up with some random winds, and ask students to identify each of the spots...

This seems an appropriate place to post this: I've been looking for an app or a java applet to practice mapping out spots... IE given these winds and this map of a DZ, plot the opening point and the exit point. Anyone seen anything, or interested in creating one?
