Please help with seeking Clarity instead of Agreement (Dennis Prager's line). I don't want to debate individual issues. Rather than trying to seek AGREEMENT about any particular issue, how about we seek CLARITY about an OVERALL philosophy? Who are the progressive leaders? Who closely represents your "philosophy" on the issues of the day? Please exclude people that were/are primarily just spiritual leaders, such as any religions prophets. However someone like Jesse Jackson I think should not be excluded because I think he is more of a political leader than religious. It doesn't mean you have to agree with everything they say, let us please not demand purity/innocence from sin. Think "big picture", not "tiny detail". Remember, the focus is to be on the notable "thinker/philosopher/leader", not a particular issue, so if you think a guy I like about economic issues is lousy, then don't just attack him, tell us who is a better leader.
