    I think the safest canopy I ever owned was an LR288 predecessor to the Manta. I put about 500 jumps on it until ZP came out.....and then went thru a series of Sabres and finally a Spectre 210 which was an awesome canopy.     I usually wake up several times a night with pain issues from my back injury.....sometimes I would log on here to see if any of my old skydiving friends were about....invariably Bryan would message me and we would discuss all manner of shit , our injuries and our hotrods.....his marriage woes and my latest surgery......he was a good guy.     Oh man.....im so sorry Bry. Our injuries are so similar that he and I formed a friendship and bond based on them. We used to talk quite frequently about our current hotrod builds and his Jeep rockclimber. I certainly dont know why he is gone but will miss our conversations.     Ah man. The Rev was one of my close friends from the earliest days. He stayed at my house several times when he was truck driving cross country. I Jumped with him all over the midwest and at the Harvest Moon boogie too. A good gentle guy to hang with who kept my ass out of trouble more than once. bozo Pain is fleeting. Glory lasts forever.     SFC Charles Shakey Hover passed away Dec. 12. Shakey lived in Vegas after retiring from a career in Army Special Forces. He was a combat vet from the VietNam conflict. He got the name Shakey when dealing with unexploded ordnance. Shakey was a lifelong jumper and will be missed by this other old guy. Stand down soldier. bozo Pain is fleeting. Glory lasts forever.
