I'm looking for a photograph showing jumpers and their halos/sun-dogs in the clouds. Does anyone know someone who has captured this shot? If so, can you PM me please? Thanks! Ned I'll try being nicer if you try being smarter.

Well considering Todd is my "hero" these days, I simply can not send enough good vibes, well wishes, hugs and support. I was just in Eloy last month for the Airspeed camp, and Todd was my coach for all my jumps, until my shoulder decided to dislocate itself for the 4th time. Like a hero dropping out of the sky, Todd followed me down, while I was in a delta position, trying to put my shoulder back in. He dumped out my main for me, saving me having to go to reserve, then spiralled down, notified Pat, who already had the ambulance on route before I even landed. So, not only is he a wonderful coach, he also helped me get through a really shitty ordeal, and was a total sweetheart. My boyfriend is sick of hearing about "Todd this and Todd that"

Hard landing in Perris; please post condolences here
purplened replied to Conundrum's topic in The Bonfire
I've know Perry and his incredibly unforgettable laugh for a few years now, and his presence will be sorely missed. You could pull up to a boogie, and even in pitch black, know instantly if he was there. Always smiling, ALWAYS laughing, and always a pleasure to be around, and swap stories with over the bonfire. I'm terribly sorry to hear about this, and my thoughts and prayers are with his family and close friends. We are a small family here in Canada, and his absense will leave a huge gap. Its a very, very sad day. Ned I'll try being nicer if you try being smarter. -
Question? What is better: (particularly for female jumpers), Weight Vest or Weight Belt and Why? Recently lost a fair bit of weight, and need to start looking at this possibility. Thanks! Ned I'll try being nicer if you try being smarter.

Skydiving in British Columbia
purplened replied to moeinthesky's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
There are 2 CSPA Drop Zones, one in Kamloops and one in Vernon. Both are wonderful drop zones, owned by great people with awesome staff, and instructors. I go to the May Meet every year in Kamloops (35 years and running?), and have a blast. Vernon I personally have not jumped at, but know people who have, and the owner is a good friend of mine, that used to own a DZ in Edmonton where i started...You will love both! And both are in very beautiful settings as well....I believe both have 1 C-182 but I could be wrong on that... Cheers, Ned I'll try being nicer if you try being smarter. -
Hi I am a skydiver, and a full time Travel Agent, who sells out of country medical insurance on a regular basis. RBC/Voyageur and T.I.C. DO cover skydiving. I"m not sure who told you RBC does not, but as of about a year ago, they decided to compete with TIC more, and do now. T.I.C. also covers rock climbing, where RBC does not (just incase). If you have questions still you can private email me if you like. Ned - P.S. See you in Eloy - we go on the 24th! I'll try being nicer if you try being smarter.

I think Kate said it best - you have to find what works for you. That being said, here is my 2 cents on what I own and love: I am a short (5'3), 'stocky' person and i absolutely totally love my Voodoo 3 (holds a 150/150). It totally curves to my body, and sits in the small of my back very comfortably. Also becuase I am so short in the body, my harness is very short, and RI makes small cutaway and reserve handles that A: fit the harness better and B: fit my hands better. And the twisted leg straps are simply the most comfy thing I have ever flown in! On a side note - I have a low chest strap (sits below my boobs!) I feel absolutely safe and comfortable in my rig at all times. Good luck - I found out about my Voodoo by trying on someone else's rig - so hopefully you have the same opportunity! Cheers! Hi! ----------------------------------------------------------- I got to sing in the Crack choir......got my voice in tune and loosened up with jello shooters supplied by an evil little canadian woman who flew next to me in the base on the womens jump ( gee thanks Ned....I don't drink) ( its ok.. I had loads of fun later.... my mantra for the rest of the nite...... hey I am still standing.... even while watching friends do topless bar dives..... ----------------------------------------------------------- Ok - I told you - its not drinking - its Eating Jello - so that makes it OK!!! Besides you had fun! And if I can eat xx amount (don't even want to try to guestimate!) then you can have a few! Sides - I gave you the good purple ones!!!! Thanks for the kick ass Base on the Woman's Attempt - that totally rocked! Hope to see you again! PurpleNed! I'll try being nicer if you try being smarter.

Thanks for the info, thats too bad that they are no longer offering a 7 cell tapered. Oh well, i guess Spectre wins by default!! Cheers! Ned I'll try being nicer if you try being smarter.

Just wondering if there is any specific info on the new canopies they are producing? I went on their website, but could not find specific info on the individual canopies? I currently jump a Tri and was wanting to check out a Diablo - so my biggest question is if they are going to have a 7 cell tapered canopy. It really is too bad about the material - that is part of the reason I love the Triathalon so much! Cheers!
